I forgot that now I have published my RBB art of Stede and Ed, I can post some of the pretty coloured wips (before I nailed down a colour theme) and some frankensteined concepts that evolved into the final pieces (which you can see here, in the final fic - written by @luniak and illustrated by me)
I was working very closely with the reference, but it took a while to settle on the golden hour earth tones of the piece - partly to test myself to do something that wasn't just a full kaleidoscope of colours.
Fairy Stede is the best Stede in any colour tbh.
