Firpaw getting into the good graces of her new mentor. 🐿️
Weirdo name siblings- Berryrump and Lizardfeather!
They're actually 2 of Mudsmoke's- the deputy's- kits! They were adopted when they were very young- after their mother Tesorashade died the same moon they were born. They're adopted siblings to Chasingsky, Mothtufts, and Bluebrook! A very interesting family line, this one.
They've always had this "twin-duo" kind of relationship, even though they were from a litter of 3 lol. (Rip Embersong). They're just very in sync. They relied on each other a lot for company, with their mother being gone and Mudsmoke being a bit.. distracted with his *other* relationships. (cough cough Fishnose cough). Can pretty much be always found together on the same patrols and sitting together.
They got their names for being little pranksters as apprentices. It seemed fitting for them to get some silly names.
Teaselclover! A relatively young warrior who has trained one apprentice. Teasel was 3 moons old when his mother, Carrie, brought him and his brother Hound to Sparkclan. Carrie was struggling to care for the twins on her own, and didn't want to return to the barn she used to live in after the twolegs there had brought in large, aggressive dogs. The two were renamed Teaselkit and Houndkit. Although, Houndkit would only live as a clancat for 2 moons- dying after getting lost outside of camp. Teaselclover has no other living family than his mother. Carrie is fairly close with her son as an adult, although they were not especially so when he was young. She had a difficult time connecting with her children. And others as well, when she worked as a caretaker. Teaselclover doesn't take it too harshly, regarding her as an estranged friend more than family.
Burrowstripe! former loner- joined the clan about a year and a half ago after a fire destroyed her old home. Ae fled to a peninsula surrounded by water, and was subsequently welcomed into Sparkclan. She'd lived on her own for most of her life before then- only when she was young did she live with aer littermates and mother until they all separated over time. She's mostly gotten used to living in a clan, although she still feels a lot of anxiety about staying in one camp for so long. She suffers from reoccurring shock and is a bit scatterbrained. Burrowstripe mostly stays in camp and helps with den maintenance and cleaning. She's trained one apprentice, Oatdew, who is one of the Pearlspeckle and Sugarspots kits. She's also friends with Bumbleswan!
Territory WIP map!
I unfortunately didn't initially save the URL, but I believe the generator I used for inspo was this! - https://yudell.itch.io/fantasy-pixel-map-generator
🌻The idea is that this area is a peninsula, with ✨Sparkclan being a smaller peninsula attached. 🌿Sedgeclan resides on a nearby island, and 🍁Spottedclan, 🦅Tornclan, 🌲Pineclan, and 🏔Gorgeclan are all on the mainland!
There's 6 clans total in the territory. Sparkclan and Sedgeclan are the largest, and Pineclan is the smallest. Some of the territories overlap- Sparkclan overlaps in the forest with Pineclan and Gorgeclan. Sedgeclan usually sticks to itself, but patrols occasionally pass eachother on the beaches. Sparkclan used to be more secluded as well to it's peninsula, but it's extended outwards as their population has expanded.
✨Sparkclan has a positive relationship with Sedgeclan and Gorgeclan. Pineclan and Spottedclan are strained.
Lyrefeather is concerned about her daughter's sudden switch in training from a warrior apprentice to a caretaker apprentice. Firpaw cheerily insists that everything will be fine. There's enough warriors to go around anyways.
