anyway when I get get my first fresh install of windows in like a decade, should I finally get a legal copy of paint tool SAI (base price $50 I believe) or should I get a modern copy of OpenCanvas (base price $60) ?

friends, i got an hp envy for xmas and have been playing around with the drawing features. do any of you have an app/program for digital drawing that you would recommend? i have been playing around with SketchBook, which is ok, and only $30 a year for the full version. it feels weird to use it, but i can’t tell if that’s because i’ve never done anything even remotely like this, or if the interface is honestly clunky.
do you draw on a tablet or computer? if so, do you have any advice for a novice?
