a horse walks into a bar
the bartender says, "I see you in here almost every day... I think you're an alcoholic."
the horse replies, "I don't think I am."
and then the horse immediately disappears.
See this joke hinges on the classic philosophical premise of "Cogito Ergo Sum" or "I think, therefore I am.", proposed by famous 16th century philsopher René Descarte. in this context the horse literally does not think that "he is", and therefore "is not" i.e. does not exist. in hindsight this would make more sense if i explained the context first.
but let's not put Descartes before the horse.

Hey! Apologies that it's taken me so long to get back to you about the fic binding, life got in the way! I've always wanted the Sherlock fic "All the Best and Brightest Creatures" by Wordstrings as a physical copy, I've read it probably every six months since it was published! Again I'm happy to wait as long as you need and pay whatever costs in order to get one of your beautiful books!
Hello!
No worries about getting back to me late. I was busy in November with NaNoWriMo, so I didn't have time to bind anyway.
I do have one commission I'm currently working on, but it shouldn't take me too long.
I just looked at the fic and it's 188K words long (if this is the correct one). I've found that longer fics usually do better being bound into 2 books (or more) instead of 1, but if you prefer, I can definitely bind it into 1 book. (I have bound my 300k word fic into 1 book before, so it's not impossible by any means. Just another option.)
I can DM you and let you know when I'm ready to start on it.
(And sorry for answering publicly. I didn't want to lose any information sending a reply privately lol.)
Hi! Your bound fics are absolutely beautiful! I just saw someone else ask about commissions, and I know you're probably super high in demand and busy, but if you have a list could you stick me at the bottom? I don't mind how long it takes, or how much it costs, I've always wanted my favourite fic bound into a book and yours are so beautiful I figured I should chance my arm!
Hello!
Would you believe that last fic was actually my first commission (and for an IRL friend, too). I only have one other fic I’m working on binding currently for someone (as a gift), so if you wanted, I could work on yours as soon as I’m finished with that.
As for prices, I’m still trying to figure that out, but I’m mostly doing these bindings as a craft and not to make money. I would only need $$ to pay for supplies used and shipping costs. (I really don’t see it costing more than $40, depending on the length of the fic and where it’s shipping to. If I have to ship outside the US, shipping becomes a bigger cost.)
We can definitely talk more about it. I’m always looking for new fics to bind! :3
