This is my contribution to this year’s @kaishinbigbang ! There are 4 more pictures below the cut, but they are also kinda spoiler-ish so please read the fic Ultima Ratio first if you have the time! I had the honor and pleasure to be partnered up with the lovely and talented @sokikuro​ and I’m super grateful and happy that she turned this idea into such a masterpiece. More rambling also below the cut!  

I’ve always wanted to do a medical AU, it’s just something I feel very connected to, but with so many projects going and and no really good idea I always pushed it aside. I was really reluctant about joining this year’s bigbang but eventually couldn’t say no and since this year’s theme was AUs I was like “okay, let’s finally do this”. I thought a lot about a possible plot for this one because I didn’t want this story to be about characters suffering and getting sick, there wouldn’t have been anything appealing about that, at least for me. Luckily my lovely partner @sokikuro​ was completely on board with this and the fic focused on healing instead, which made me really happy. Speaking of which, I can’t put into words how thankful I am to @sokikuro​ for turning this into such a masterpiece! She took this simple idea and turned it into such a beautiful story, filled with so much emotion and life. I adored the attention to detail and characters and how emotions were conveyed so scarily well through actions instead of words. I’m a big fan of “show, don’t tell” and I think this fic is a perfect example. I could write a long comment about the story but I’ll leave that in the comment section of the actual story. Instead, a big thank you (again) to sokikuro and my utmost gratitude for turning this event into such a fun experience and giving me the opportunity to draw some pictures for those beautiful scenes and getting to contribute something to this wonderful story.

yeah that seems to be the case.

i maybe have spent some time this evening specifically going through cases flagged as having romance development on the wiki, as well as all the cases where heiji and kazuha show up, and tracking down any parts that i could remember where ran talks about the confession and how she feels about it

I know you just said that you'll say nothing more about Jensen being homophobic or having a questionable morality for standing his own ground in regards of Dean, and I'm not asking you to, I really just wanted to let you know that I agree with you fully and applaud you. And wanted to add that it's really sad that some turn a show for entertainment in something so personal and therfore being unable to enjoy. I wish you the best and have a great day!

Thank you so much! It means a lot to me that there are people who agree with me on this. I really wish that people would understand that canon and fanon are different things, and while it’s okay to ship something, it is not okay to force it on the actor and then say unfair things about him when he appears uncomfortable with it.
