New Sol Power Joint: Ernesto Djédjé "Ziboté (Meistro Sol Power Dub)"
Keep the summer going with this groovy, dubby slice of Ivory Coast soul. The original was a big hit in its day -- Meistro upped the tempo, added a ton of tight percussion, some subby bass, and got loose with some spacey dub effects. Should rock a tropical dance floor near you.
Check out Ernesto rockin it live on Ivory Coast television below. Be sure to wait for the slick dance moves that start at around 3:40
Colombia's on the shortlist when I finally blow the dust off my passport.
