Nugu GG of the Week #518 : Sol-T / GBB (part 2)
GBB is the rebrand of Sol-T, they debuted in 2018 and then disbanded in 2020. The groups was made up of the members, Chae-Hee, Jini and Doori of Sol-T + 2 new girls, Sona and Cheris.
The groups name is an acronym for Gawi Bawi Boo, which is just Rock Paper Scissors. It's kinda cute I guess.
The group only released one album which included their 2 Sol-T releases as b-sides with one new original single.
The new single we got was Kemi. The song is a nice disco funk song that honestly is so good that it could pass as a Dal Shabet song back when they did that type of music. However despite the rebrand, new girls and huge concept change and fun song the group failed again and finally disbanded. 🫡 We thank you for your service.
DooRi, nugu darling 💕 of Sol-T, GBB and Venus (y'all still streaming Turn Signal? Show your trot Orange Caramel some love 🙏), has since gone on a solo music journey from ballads to trot music. She has two music libraries on both YouTube music app and Spotify 😔 nugudom struggles. I included one of her trot songs and one of her ballads that I really enjoy, she has a beautiful voice and her vocal styling on the ballad is very interesting.
