I’m so pleased to be able to share this comic that I contributed to @solamancyzine! 

This was inspired by the chapter Callback from the Tevinter Nights book. What might have happened had Solas met the spirit that he had accidentally created in all his immense regret?

My copy of the Solamancy zine + extras arrived last week! Lots of great art & writing inside, and I think technically the first time I’ve had a work in real print (vs self-printed and assembled). You can read my entry here on AO3 as well, and other works are linked or posted on the @solamancyzine blog. It was fun to be part of a collaborative fandom project, I’d like to do more of that in the future! Either zines or just one to one collaboration :)

Here’s a little preview of my story “A Recipe for Roguery,” which appears in the upcoming @solamancyzine​:

“I apologize for scolding you,” Solas said. “And you mistake my opinion of you. I see you as a brave and cunning woman. I suspect, also, that you are more compassionate than you often reveal.” 

“Come off it. Don’t try to sweet-talk me just ‘cuz you’re sorry.” 

“Since the cakes are beyond salvaging, perhaps we should turn our efforts in a different direction. If you still have an interest in cheering me up.” 

“Whaddya mean?” 

“It will take some work, but I was thinking we might prank a mutual enemy.” 

Sera was on her feet, instantly cured of her sulking. “No way! Stuffy old Solas wants to play pranks?” 

“My idea of a prank is a bit more sophisticated than yours, but yes.”

All proceeds benefit the Indian Residential School Survivors Society, an organization that provides aid to Residential School Survivors, their families, and those dealing with intergenerational trauma. 

The zine is over 75 pages of gorgeous artwork, amazing stories, and beautiful comics, all featuring Solas. This project has been a labor of love and I’m so excited to see everyone’s hard work come together.

Physically holding my work in my hands is a new experience as a digital artist, and it hits different 🥺
