When do you think this was made? Medieval gold coin? No. This is a sun disc 🌞 found in a British beaker folk barrow called Jug’s grave in Inwood, Monkton Farleigh. It is dated to the early Bronze Age and may have been sewn to an item of clothing or attached to a head dress. The burial also contained two skeletons, shards of beaker, a bone ring fragment, a bit of what looks like a ritual stone mace head and some flint flakes and scrapers. Hi! Sorry, I’m not sure when exactly you have sent your question, but I didn’t see it before! Hope you don’t mind.

Uff, I really don’t know what my favourite BM band is, because I simply cannot choose, I’m just really bad at this... but among my favourites are, to name a few, Alda, Heimdalls Wacht (this album at least, it’s perfect), Fauna and Grift. So I’m definitely more on the atmospheric side of black metal.

As for ambient music, I do enjoy it, yes, but I can’t say I’m listening to it much. Mostly it’s rather neofolk / dark folk with ambient influences, such as Tenhi for example. But feel free to recommend me some good stuff! :)

🌻 Merry Summer Solstice to all! 🌻 Summer is my least favourite season, by far, but I love celebrating the turn of the wheel so here are some Sun Symbols - Dagskip, the Sun-Carrying boat petroglyph, Sun-Cross and Sól rune - (along with an Algiz) to thank you for being here! I matched them with their Vegan biscuits equivalents. I used buckwheat flour, olive oil and added lemon zest and calendula petals for a very sunny feel.
