What a shock, IMMA BURN A FLAG TO ATTACK ISRAEL turns out to be an uneducated chickenshit. Enemies like that are our greatest strength and I am thankful for every one.
I'm confused. Why do you think that 90% of CAMAB people are closeted women, yet call feminists 'cisfeminists' rather than applying the same logic to the CAFAB population. Why do you think you can out CAMAB people everywhere and erase the existence of closeted trans CAFAB who nut surely exist in the same quantity. Or do you just hate CAFAB people like the MRAs do
No, I don’t think trans female prevalence is 90%… I mean maybe but almost certainly not. I do, however think 90% or more of trans women are closeted women. (That would be a trans female prevalence of 10% at least, which the GIRES data’s trajectory would suggest is well-within the realm of possibility.)
If you want to find a feminist who thinks trans female prevalence is 100%, you’d have to talk to Valerie Solanas. That’s what she inadvertently argued in The SCUM Manifesto when she said that deep down all [CAMABs] want to be [recognized as] women. I’m not quite that radical. The furthest I usually entertain notions of trans prevalence going is 60% CAMAB 20% CAFAB (based on the 3:1 transition ratio not really going away, and in fact, going down in more overtly transmisogynistic western countries like Sweden.)
I am a feminist, first of all. So stop implying that I’m not one, please. That said, given that Julia Serano has often been called an MRA, I’m not sure why I shouldn’t view solarmetronome’s attempt to invalidate my feminism in service of her conditional cis privilege (and mine but I’m trying at least to check it in a way she doesn’t) as anything but a badge of honour.
I do believe that cisfeminists inadvertently lobby for CAFAB-only issues. Which is why their blindspot on CAMAB survivors, among a dozen other issues. And I also believe that many TERFs are closeted men, projecting their own dysphoria, in a very violent, and oppressive manner, frequently talking over and egregiously misrepresenting the people with whom they disagree. Demanding control over spaces that marginalized women need… Sounds like every description of male entitlement I’ve ever heard.
But the reason that CAFAB-specific activism is problematic is that CAFABs in the West aren’t oppressed for being CAFABs:
CAFABs are less likely to be homeless, jailed, and murdered than CAMABs, and that also holds true for those CAFABs presently identifying as female and CAMABs presently identifying as male.Because of coercive cisness, I could not accurately call these groups cis women and cis men respectively. In the United States, 105 CAMAB infants die per year as a result of genital mutilation. Zero CAFAB infants do. When including forced-to-penetrate and prison, CAMABs are raped more often. CAMABs are physically abused more often. CAMABs are less likely to graduate high school.
Please name me another unidirectionally privileged group for which any of these things are true.
I’d hold that this is because even if cis men are treated somewhat better than cis women, closeted trans women are treated far worse and trans prevalence is far higher than previously thought.
Trans men have unidirectional privilege over trans women (NGLTF, Injustice At Every Turn, 2011).
Cis women have unidirectional privilege over trans women (Ibid).
If the general power hierarchy of gender kyriarchy is:
Cis men
Cis women / Trans men
Trans women
Then you could explain why CAMABs lag CAFABs in so many socioeconomic categories while men could oppress women. That said, I’m talking about neurologically male and female persons respectively, not the CAMABs/CAFABs, not male-presenting / female-presenting, etc, just actual men and women, who would be free to live their lives without a cisheterosupremacist power structure, but presently are not.
That said, yours is an argument I’d never think to hear from someone who believes in privilege theory? Gee, why would I tend to distrust and dislike a group of people who all have unidirectional privilege over me, I wonder?

Guess what thekarmagem: I also think you’d find a lot of trans men hiding in the closed amongst TERFs. Only they could argue with such problematic passion how much it sucks to be [CAFAB], and I think the same applies to the MRM.
I also don’t think trans women are nearly as vanishingly rare as you do. Don’t suppose the reason you’re under-selling trans female prevalence is so as to make trans acceptance seem more palatable to cis lesbians or anything...
“should i take commissions? $15 per hour of ideological hand holding?” IM YELLING THIS IS SO FUCKING FUNNY
