Little bit (ok a lot) of a vent here about certain members of a fandom i belong to. But I don’t think any TWs apply. Mentions of depression and harassment, maybe.
anyway, if i unfollow or block anyone in the upcoming weeks, this is probably why. My mental health comes first.
You know, I thought last year would've been enough for these assholes, considering they managed to drive two people off tumblr just by being generally nasty to and about them, but apparently not.
The mods for the blog hxh/bb/20 aren't the same people from last year, despite what their blog description says. They're the group who were kicked from last year's big bang for harassment (or dropped voluntarily following their friends being kicked). And I’m still so fucking angry at them and their self-righteous attitude - the fact that they feel zero remorse for sending so much anon hate and false accusations and blatant hatred. They even invaded a server I was in just to make fun of people.
I don’t blame people for not knowing how hateful they are, or who they are in general. They hide it well (though the hxh-or-die blog probably shut them up, i saw that going around a while ago) And most people ship pure little fluff ships in this fandom, nothing too heavy. But god help you if you dare write anything explicit. Or dark. Or ship the wrong ship, and yeah, hisoillu counts for that shit. God fucking help you.
I had a fucking breakdown over this shit last year and I was barely involved. And now they’re back, positing like they’re the same hxh bang from last year, like their stupid fucking rules banning certain characters make any goddamn sense (just tag! the whole point of a bang is so that you pick a fic you want to write/draw for!) - I’m so done. I’m SO fucking done with these pieces of shit.
So if i break a mutual in the upcoming weeks - this is why. Either you’ve reblogged something from one of the aforementioned assholes, or you’ve chosen to do this bang. Either way, i can’t handle seeing their bullshit on my dash.
I won’t tell you who they are specifically, because i don’t fucking buy into callout culture and cancel culture. Not after the slander and lying and bullshit from last year, after i saw how fucking fake this shit is and how easy it is to spread blatant lies around this hellsite. Especially since i don’t exactly have hard evidence to back it up beyond a few screenshots. I’ll stay vague like this.
If you can’t say anything nice to someone, or about someone, then maybe you should keep your mouth shut and mind your own damn business.
Like hOly shit it is NOT that difficult to just. Block someone. Or to not read something. ESPECIALLY if they’re not trying to talk to you, or send you their writing. I swear to any god that exists - it’s really NOT difficult to ignore someone who’s trying to ignore you in return. But you absolutely do not have any excuse to walk up to someone and be an asshole to them for no reason. Or to convince others that somebody you have beef with is an awful person.
Under no circumstances is this excusable. UNDER. NONE. Unnecessary rudeness or downright malcontent directed at another person? Direct that shit SOMEWHERE-FUCKING-ELSE.
JFC if you’re old enough to be using this goddamn hellsite without a parent, you’re old enough to know how to at least AVOID people you hate, to include avoiding talking shit about them.
So yeah, if you’re the kind of person that likes to start this sort of drama?

OKAY SO LIKE-
I don’t think he’s a flat-out terrible parent. HOWEVER. I absolutely CANNOT forgive him for the following things:
A) He abandoned Hitsugaya and Matsumoto in Seireitei for a girl he’d just met and then never SAID anything to them. (even when they were wandering around in gigai????)
B) He knew. About Aizen. And ghosts. And the WHOLE nine yards. And never ONCE did he mention to Ichigo that he knew what was going on, or give him resources to help until the final battles with Aizen.
C) Constantly yelled at Ichigo for dumb reasons, including ‘seeing ghosts’ when he was well aware that ghosts existed?
D) THIS MAN. KNEW ABOUT AIZEN. AND DIDN’T TELL HIS PART-EVERYTHING SON. EVEN WHEN HOLLOW SHIT STARTED HAPPENING. AND HE KNEW ABOUT IT. (yes I’m saying this again)
E) ALSO WHY DIDN’T HE TELL ICHIGO THAT MASAKI WAS A QUINCY.
F) Ichigo probably blamed himself for his mom’s death when he COULD have know it was Yhwach’s fault the whole time. And yet. ARG.
aNYWAY. I mostly dislike Isshin because he did ABSOLUTE JACKSHIT to prepare Ichigo for, y’know, fighting a damn war or two, when he kinda knew almost the entire situation ahead of time. And that just sits really ill with me. Because he knew, and did nothing about it. He just let Ichigo flounder and kept up a goofy-dad façade.
SO yeah. I’m not an Isshin fan at all.
Edit: If you like Isshin, that’s cool tho, I’m not tryna say he shouldn’t be your fave character. This is just my personal beef with Isshin
