To: Solbi-noona Noona. It seems like just two days ago when the three of us, me, you and Sleepy-hyung, were on a survival (challenge) together, but it’s the last broadcast already. The people around me are going crazy saying that you’re funny and that they like you. I’m envious. They’re saying things like, why did I only just do dad jokes… Anyway, I was able to cheer up and gain strength thanks to you in the Jungle. You also took care of me… Oh yes, it seems like it’s a good thing that you don’t take care of people. (T/N: He means it jokingly that Solbi isn’t suited to nurse or look after someone.) It’s my first time seeing someone sticking a water bottle in (someone else’s) mouth while lying down. As (I was) exhausted, I was thankful to you for giving me water though.. What is that, I felt like I had become a water purifier stuck with a huge water tumbler. Still, thank you for caring for me, and looking after me well like a dongsaeng. Someday, let’s all get together again and go off to the jungle once more. How can you tell when you’re falling for someone?

Is it the way your eyes always seem to find their way back to that person every time you look away?

Is it the way you try to find meaning behind just about everything they do?

Is it the way you want to catch them looking at you and at the same time not wanting to be caught staring?

Jin makes a small checklist in his head of the littlest things he experiences when he’s with Yoongi. Makes a mental note of how his feelings for the man differ from his feelings for Namjoon or Jungkook or Solbi.

He realizes belatedly that the amount of significant people in his life is gradually increasing. And although four people may not seem a lot, to Jin, that’s plenty. To him, that’s expanding it four times his tragically misshapen heart.

And maybe to someone accustomed to love, it may not be a big deal. But to Jin, it’s a lot to sort through. Because not one love is the same. And each love deserves its own unique attention.

So maybe to someone accustomed to love, expressing it is as commonplace as brushing your teeth. But nothing could be more opposite to Jin. Because receiving love is one thing. But conveying it is a whole new language with which he’s not quite well versed.

To him, expressing it is the awkward, almost physically painful way of sliding a pair of movie tickets across the table towards Yoongi without meeting his eye. It’s the invisible barrier that keeps him from looking at Yoongi while he seems to have lost his voice. It’s the hesitation in his words when he asks Yoongi to watch this movie they’ve both been looking forward to see.

And in the middle of Jin sorting through his different categories of love, he creates a separate pocket for the way Yoongi’s face morphs between confusion, realization, and astonishment. Creates a separate compartment for the way Yoongi hides a growing smile behind the back of his hand, reaching and retrieving and once again reaching his hand to hold Jin’s hand that’s resting on the table.

When Jin finally gains the decency to meet Yoongi’s eyes, he notes the way his heart communicates with his face to make it flush.
