I just really dislike the fact that someone sees I’m polytheist and immediately assumes I’m a witch. (It’s like when I say I’m from New York and people assume I mean NYC when in fact I’m from closer to Canada which is basically a world away.) Personal preference and what not. I do like to say I’m witch adjacent since a great deal of my friends identify as witches. 

Also I have bad magic experiences so having people constantly equate me with witchcraft in any way tends to put me on edge. 

Although I do agree it is a great vague word for some of the more woowoo stuff that inevitably happens around my religious life. If it wasn’t for my personal distaste for witchcraft I’d probably be using it to describe things too. 

Really I just wish I could flirt without feeling the need to ramble on and on about semantics. (I guess I should just find someone who likes that sort of thing...people find all sorts of things endearing)
