Hey, i love your blog and inspired me to start watching old movies but i don't know where to start? i tried to watch Rope but i found it kind of boring? (Sorry haha). Do you have some recs to people that are not familiar to old movies?😍😍😍

and for someone that is wanting to watch old movies i always recommend them to stay away from serious movies like the noir ones and classics like casablanca and gilda. these films can be wonderful but for someone that is not used to it it may be boring.

so i think you should start with lighthearted movies. i started by watching musicals, but if you don't like it you should try romcoms.

you should also try a movie with an famous actor/actress, someone who's face you are already familiar with may help you with paying attention to the movie.

for that i recommend:

the wizard of oz

funny girl

singin' in the rain

meet me in st. louis

state fair

barefoot in the park

breakfast at tiffany's

and if you want to go to more serious movies, its always good to start with Hitchcock. i know that it is a very cinema snob thing to say, but they are rarely boring. I know you didn't like Rope, but that is the most 'plain' (i cant find a better word to that) movie of his. try watching Psycho or To Catch A Thief because those are very dinamic films.

after that you just need to go to the classics and find your favorite genre of old films. hope i helped.

Eu li seu post sobre assexuais e tenho que te agradecer imensamente. Pela primeira vez estou escrevendo um psng assexual e estava mt confusa em como começar. Vc poderia fazer um post sobre pansexuais e gendero fluido?

tem um sobre as principais tropes em que personagens bissexuais acabam caindo (aqui), mas sobre personagens pansexuais em específico não tenho :c estou no momento escrevendo uma sobre personagens não-bináries no geral, tho.

(lembrando que ainda to aceitando matérias de quem é lgbtqia+. a ideia dessa série seria as pessoas do próprio grupo falando sobre as tropes e pá, pra ficar mais genuíno e tals)
