drabble for solemnedwolf
@solemnedwolf, in honour of our one year anniversary three days ago!
She smiled as she slightly opened up the window of their bed chambers, now just about able to cope with the slight summer breeze that comes through in order to help cool her sleeping husband as Carlotta sneaked a glimpse at her sleeping, stress-free, naked husband.
With only a fur wrapped around her, Lady Stark sighed softly as she looked out of the window. Nearly two decades had passed since she had found out that it wasn't Catelyn who would be Lady of the North but herself with Ned as the Lord after Brandon's murder. She was now beloved by the people of Winterfell, could tolerate the summer chill just about and was able to walk in the Godswood without feeling like a stranger despite knowing she could go into the small Sept that Ned had built for her.
Hearing laughter, she peered down and smiled as she saw some of their children already awake and playing in some summer snow. Another thing she has learned since coming North as she tucked some of her hair back, only to find more of it being pulled away from her neck, "You're awake...."
She chuckled warmly as she leaned back into the solid warmth that was her Lord Husband, "The sun is up, the children are outside laughing and playing in the summer snow and my poor husband was suffering with the heat of my chambers." She replied with a grin, feeling the slight rumble of his chest as he laughed, his hand gliding down from her shoulder, over the fur covered breast and continuing downwards.
"Some of it isn't too bad...." Came his low voice which sends heat to her belly before sighing at his touch, leaning further back into him as his free hand pries the fur from her form, "Wasn't last night enough for you, my Lord? Or has Robert sent word that my sister is with child again and you'd rather stay in the lead?!" She laughed. It had become a teasing joke between her and her twin Catelyn that their husbands were determined to have more children than the other, Catelyn having a brood of auburn haired and black haired children whilst Carlotta had mostly brown haired children save for a couple who had the Tully auburn.
"With you Lotta, I can never have enough!" And such were the last words for a while as the Lord of Winterfell took his Lady wife back to bed for a while longer.
@solemnedwolf
She breathed slightly uneasy but willed herself to remain calm and poised as she stood between her sisters, river blue eyes flicking to the side to check that Edmure hadn't wondered off in boredom whilst brown wisps of hair strayed over her eyes until one delicate hand pushed them back under control. The brown hair amidst a river of varying shades of auburn. Carlotta turned her head a little to look at her twin and saw that Catelyn looked only at the gateway whilst stood in her rightful place at their Lord Father's side, all in order save for Edmure as they tried to get him to stand still (save Lysa who just ignored him) whilst they awaited the arrival of Lord Rickard and his two eldest sons. Her and Catelyn's betrothed. An alliance of House Tully and House Stark. Alliances made and will be finalised with a double wedding. Catelyn accepted hers dutifully whilst Carlotta only partially questioned the thinking behind her also being joined to House Stark. She agreed that both were well thought matches for herself and her twin sister, but she did not see the advantage of them both being betrothed to House Stark. She too dutifully accepted the match in any case and now awaited to meet her betrothed, Lord Eddard Stark.
