Alex Novak is a 27 year-old wizard who lives in a realm known as the Soleverse; a realm where magic flows in the veins of every inhabitant. His late grandfather Tristain Novak was a master alchemist and the creator of the Philosopher's Stone.
How could a man who seemed so in charge of his own fate die so suddenly? Alex can't shake the feeling that something doesn't seem right, but the only way to find answers is to dig deeper.
What exactly is the legacy that Alex is meant to continue, and is it a legacy that he even wants?

Hello! My name is Dilynn Aconite, one of two authors and the editor for Soleverse. Before Soleverse Book 1: Legacy of the Alchemist is sent off to be printed, I would like to have the script looked over by someone who is not one of us two. Thus, I am opening this form to find beta readers!
More details can be found in the form itself. Please note that the deadline to sign up is October 10th. I will send out the script as responses come in.
If you have any questions, our ask box is always open!

WAIT HDGSCjhdffsd also curious about his cape!! Spillllll the details-
Any fancy trim/decorations? Does it have a collar or hood, or something else? Any tearing/damage? And how long is it?
aHHH sorry just saw this lol. His cape?? It's crimson red, reaches about to his ankles, no tears. It has a brass clasp that hold it in place, No hood or fancy trims. Just a simple cape. It's a thick material as well!
This week’s offering is a special one, coming from a bit I’m SO EXCITED ABOUT that I’m writing for one @glitchvault74 starring his precious bean of an OC Apollo Ray, one synth detective dad, and one very flirtatious ghoul.
Nick’s silicone face continues to be grumpy. “I’m here on a case. Apollo is…new to the area, needed a place to stay and a guide, so he’s tagging along with me.”
“Ahah. Well, I’ll be happy to take good care of our visitor if he ever needs a break from the ol’ robo-dick over here.” Hancock offers Apollo his most charming smile, with a nice slather of suggestive on top.
Apollo just looks confused. “I like Nick. Why would I want a break from him?”
The first draft of book one is COMPLETE! Book one will be releasing 12/24/2025, exactly 14 years after the very, very first version of Soleverse began!
Today marks the 13th anniversary to a book series we have never published. We wrote the original draft for seven years, and then it was lost. Frankly, it was one of our first writing projects, so it was badly written and needed a lot of work. Another seven years of work, at that.
It was poorly written, but there was something special in that draft that we couldn't ignore. So we tried again. And again. And again, mixing the pieces around, rearranging things, rewriting entire plotlines, introducing and retiring various characters...
Until now.
This is, I believe, version 13 of the story. This is the version we were trying to put together for so many years.
This is the story of a parallel reality to ours known as the Soleverse. Magic exists as a spectrum of colors, existing on a balance of Chaos and Order.
This is the story of Alex Novak, who is on the hunt to uncover the secrets his dead grandfather Tristain left behind. Many others will join Alex to unravel the mysteries of both his grandfather and the Soleverse itself, as they work towards the goal of preventing the collapse of their reality. A goal that is destined to fail if they don't find everything that Tristain left behind.
From here on out, this blog is open to questions. My name is Dilynn. I am one of two authors, and I can bring in my cowriter to answer questions as well at any time.
Please keep in mind that Soleverse is intended for MATURE AUDIENCES, and will deal with explicit subject matter including sex, death, abuse, oppression, eugenics, and many other topics of that nature. This is not a lighthearted series.
I will answer any question that is in good faith. Any question that is not in good faith will be deleted.
I will also be posting updates, introducing you to the world of Soleverse and its characters. This will be a multi-part book series, it is massive. There is a lot to cover, and I am looking forward to it!
As it is now, the entire series up to a certain point is planned out. We have a solid outline and story direction. The first book in the series has a solid first draft that needs edited, the second book is mostly written all the way through, and I'll be completely honest, I don't know how many books it will take to finish this story. We are both willing to keep writing until it's done. I'm hoping to have the first book out sometime next year.
For now, happy holidays. The ask box is open, and I plan on posting updates starting next month.
Realized it's been a bit since I last updated, oops!
The first book has now been edited up to the beginning of Chapter 4 and is at 11,884 words. I'm aiming for the book to be about 80k (which is average for a novel), so that means it's at 14.9%. Once it's edited fully, I plan to do one last full edit to tie everything together, then send it off to beta readers, edit based on feedback, and finally move to publish!
My plan is for this FIRST edit to be done by the end of the year. If love for all edits to be done by December, but it really depends on motivation and my brain working with me. Sometimes I'll be super motivated and the dyslexia just is not having it that day.
Not only that, but I've been developing a tabletop RPG concurrently with writing the series since 2017. That is now in a playable state.
The RPG is meant to mimic the world of Soleverse itself, so it sort of makes sense that it wouldn't be functional until Soleverse itself was functional in its worldbuilding!
Really, the RPG is just a fun side project of mine that came out of me wanting to run a tabletop RPG campaign based in this world Cam and I have been creating for the majority of our lives.
My main focus will always be the novels themselves, but details about the RPG will be released mostly after the first book is published. It would be a little weird to publish the game based on the novels before the novels themselves exist, right?
I'm also working on trying to get an official site up for Soleverse. I've been a programmer since i was about 13, but web development is... Not something I have touched much. This part will likely take time.
Magic is everywhere in the Soleverse. There are twenty colors of magic, and every color is paired off with an opposing color in what is called the conflict system. Every pair of opposing colors contains one order-aligned color and one chaos-aligned color.
With the order-aligned colors first, the pairs are:
Maroon (Order) versus Grey (Chaos)
White (Light) versus Purple (Darkness)
Yellow (Creation) versus Cyan (Destruction)
Bronze (Time) versus Black (Space)
Blue (Water) versus Red (Fire)
Lime (Earth) versus Pink (Air)
Indigo (Death) versus Emerald (Life)
Orange (Thought) versus Lavender (Emotion)
Teal (Despair) versus Magenta (Hope)
Silver (Balance) versus Gold (Power)
The inhabitants of the Soleverse, known as solelinks, each have the potential to wield the magic of one of these twenty colors. The color that they are connected to is known as their soul color.
Solelinks have pure liquid magic in their blood called silverium. Their silverium will be the same color as their soul color. In order to use magic (with some exceptions), they must bleed to release the magic from their veins. This makes frequent magic use quite dangerous. Not only that, but the more powerful the spell, the more blood they have to lose to cast it!
Since there are twenty colors of magic, some of them may look similar, especially to those with color blindness. Tristain Novak, the in-universe master alchemist and grandfather to the protagonist Alex Novak, created a series of symbols to use in the place of the colors, as shown below*:
Pay attention to the Alt text to get some info on the symbols!
* Note that black is used as a background for the lighter colors and white is used for the backgrounds of darker colors for visibility reasons only, I have alternative versions of these images that will be posted as time goes on
More information on the magic and world of the Soleverse will be posted to this blog as time goes on, so stay tuned! I'd love to make more detailed posts on each of the magic colors and conflicts.
A fun fact; this is the final version of the magic system. The only thing that stayed standard between every version of Soleverse was that there are twenty colors of magic. The attributes have changed multiple times, and the original system of magic this story used was completely unrecognizable compared to this one.
In the original draft, every color had three attributes rather than one, and they were all on a convoluted chart that had to be consulted every time we wrote magic! This was called the scale system. The conflict system streamlined everything and makes a lot more sense.
Starting to draw one of my old OCs for a fantasy world me and my friends made in 2021 called Soleverse. Thinking I'm going to redesign and rewrite her.
