Facial expression practice with Zane

Drawing intense emotions is hard and I wanted to throw my hat in the ring and draw Zane’s sacrifice in Rebooted, so this is the result!

Ik he was kinda hopecore 💫 in the show but tanking incomprehensible power, knowing your death is inevitable, is probably pretty physically and emotionally strenuous

I made a page for Volume 2 of the Rescue Bots Zine by @turbofox-zines, which dropped preorders in February and is hopefully entering the shipping phase soon!

This was such a fun opportunity and I love how everyone’s work turned out!

Now for the rambling below vvv

I went into this project wanting to depict as many characters from the main cast as I could, while giving everyone a chance to shine and interact with each other in some less common combinations. This show is really nostalgic for me so I wanted to create a scene that shows that, even years in the future, they all still get together and hang out :) (I haven’t watched all of Academy so this isn’t necessarily compliant with that though haha)

I chose for the setting to be at this time (like twilight ig?) and on a beach to get some summer-y vibes and imply that this piece takes place after a whole day of spending time together (also glowy lights are fun)

Also, I've been wanting to get into selling merch so I might put this up as a print on my ACGgoods shop to get used to the process!

I think this is my last TFRB art unposted from over a year ago. Hopefully I find time to make more bc looking back at this stuff is actually giving me some motivation…

I remember having fun rendering this one! I like how Boulder turned out, but it's always so hard to get Chase's proportions looking right lol

Also iirc I couldn't quite figure out what color his eyes are supposed to be so I went for kind of a lime? Kinda works out for this duo art since it means there's now blue and green integrated on both sides actually

Have never rendered this way before but I decided to do random stuff today!

I’ve been obsessed with SFAWTDE since it was released perfectly during a Minecraft ARG phase and I loved DAWTDE!! They’re definitely different tonally but the vibes and minecrafty notes I enjoyed were still there. The builds/worlds were absolutely beautiful!
