UK Grime artist Solo 45 sentence increase to 30 Years for rape and imprisonment of women.
Grime artist Solo 45 real name Andy Anokye. Has had his sentence increased from 24 years to 30 years for the conviction of rape and imprisonment of four women.
A musician from Bristol who was signed to Island Records and once a member of the Grime collective Boy Better Know. The well respected British independent record label, founded by grime producing brothers Skepta and JME in 2005.
Solo 45 repeatedly raped four women after holding them against their will has had his sentence increased by six years by the Court of Appeal. Originally, found guilty at Bristol Crown Court for 21 rapes, 5 counts of false imprisonment, 2 counts of assault by penetration and 2 counts of assault causing actual bodily harm. All 30 charges were committed over a two year period between February 2015 and March 2017.
He was handed a 29-year extended sentence, made up of a 24-year jail term and an extended licence period of five years, in July last year. However, following a new hearing, the Court of Appeal has now ruled that his initial sentence was “unduly lenient” and he will now spend 30 years in jail for the 30 charges.

Andy Anokye, popularly known as Solo 45 has been found guilty of raping four women. The “Feed ‘Em To The Lions” rapper who has been on trial since January 2019 denied all 31 charges, which included 22 counts of rape, five counts of false imprisonment, two counts of assault by penetration, and two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH).
