What Is RubbleRousers?
A browser simulation game about the cats who outlived us.

RubbleRousers is an upcoming free browser game (with a free demo out now!) about a clowder of feral cats clawing out survival in the ruins of a city that has fallen under the weight of a zombie apocalypse. Explore, hunt, and raise the next generation.
My name is Finch, and this is a game I've been working on for close to three years now. Let me give you a run down :3
Why be excited about RubbleRousers? Let me give you a few reasons:
Real cat genetics. I spent a year developing the genetics system of this game, working with domain experts to make things as realistic as I possibly could. Punnett squares, sex-linked traits, they're all there!
Survival Game and Petsite. RubbleRousers isn't just a survival game, and it isn't just a petsite. It's the kind of genre combination I always dreamed about as a warrior cats kid, naming my Lioden lions after my fanclan. Bringing new life into the world is just as much of a part of the game as dying in combat. There's injuries, illnesses, and sudden tragedy, just as there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
A city to reclaim. Every map you explore is procedurally generated based on a custom algorithm. Fight everything from zombie cats to vicious foxes.
Build your colony. Build dens, watchtowers, a nursery, a healer's den, and many more. Grow a base from scraps of moss, twine, and metal.
A story to uncover. A full narrative campaign with a cast of strange characters and a final choice that's yours to make.
Support Artists. One of my main goals when I started this project was to support artists in (and outside of) the warriors art community. I am an abysmal artist myself, but the game is full of beautiful art by many paid and volunteer artists. Every dollar donated either goes to server hosting costs, or directly to artists and graphic designers. As grateful as I am for all my lovely volunteers, I want to make sure everyone gets fairly compensated for their time and effort.

I just finished playing mind the gap and I really love how the characters interact and I love my newly adopted daughter Naomi
this is just something silly, let's say the power goes off again, how would the cast react if the mc held onto their arm/hand to not lose them in the darkness?

Deuce
Deuce: E-EEEW, SOMETHING TOUCHED ME!! A SNAKE!?
You: Deuce, it’s me! It’s me!
They flinched and smacked your hand painfully, then jumped back a couple of meters, accidentally bumping into someone. Oops.
Verity
Verity: …Oh!
Verity let out a surprised breath and tried to make you out in the darkness.
Verity: Y/N…? It’s okay, you can take my hand if you’re scared!
She squeezed your hand more confidently.
Naomi
Naomi froze when you grabbed her hand. Panicked, she quickly felt your fingers and when she realized it was you, she silently pressed herself against you, hugging your legs while trembling slightly. (Naomi has a mild fear of the dark.)
Leonel
Leonel: What—?!
Leonel instinctively tried to pull away from the hand that grabbed him.
You: It’s me!
Leonel: …Huh? Y/N, did a fly bite you or something? Jeez...
He chuckled and let go of your hand. Seems like your sudden move amused him.
Felicia
Felicia: AAHGGH, I DON’T WANT TO DIEEE!
You: Felicia, calm down, it’s me!
Felicia yelped and reached out with her free hand to feel you.
Felicia: What the hell?! Don’t scare me like that again! Why did you do that!?
Vir
Vir: Oh–?
He quietly exhaled, startled by being grabbed, but visibly relaxed once he realized it was your hand.
Vir: I’m here. Don’t be afraid of the dark.
He slowly intertwined his fingers with yours.
Stefan
Stefan: —Who!? Hey!?
Stefan tensed at the sudden movement, but when he heard your voice, he let out a quiet laugh.
Stefan: God, I jumped like a child… embarrassing. Y/N, don’t be scared, it's okay.
He squeezed your hand firmly.
Saphira
She turned her head toward you warily when you grabbed her hand.
Saphira: Hey? Y/N?
She exhaled heavily and allowed you to hold her hand.
Saphira: ...I’ve got you.
