Solomon, Shekinah & Taryn Backstory

I would have liked to make a side story detailing their lore. But with time constraints I don't know if that will happen... not soon anyway.

So below is a short-ish explanation of these three and their "entanglement" ha!

Solomon and Shekinah were neighbours, they grew up in the same area but never really clicked. Shekinah was/is a preachers kid and was very popular. She was that girl that EVERYBODY and their aunty went to to get their hair done.

Solomon on the other hand was just being a bad ass kid. He always had a bit of a temper but it heightened after his brother died [murdered] Solomon was 16 when this happened.

Two years later he starts college and I guess you could say he simmers down. Also the reason why he became a detective starts taking shape. BOOM he meets Taryn the 1st week of classes and it was a rocky start but they hit it off. At the time she was rebelling against her mother for trying to force her to be in the media.

Although Taryn and Solomon are from totally different worlds, they found the beauty in that. In the end they found themselves to be very similar. Solomon appreciated that no matter what Taryn never judged him. Taryn valued that Solomon saw beyond her being "Judith Wards daughter" Fun fact: During one of their hangout's Solomon told her she looked more like a Taryn, hence the name.

They shared many firsts together. Solomon never had Sushi till Taryn and Taryn never dipped her fries in ice cream till Solomon. He was also the one who took her... v card. They were in their own little bubble for two years flat, until one of Taryn's bigoted cousins spotted them hanging out. He warned Taryn to break things off, she didn't. He gathered some other bigots and they basically beat Solomon, told him it would be worse the next time.

After that Solomon distanced himself from Taryn, no real explanation. His styled changed, he cut his hair, started growing dreads [weaving a loc from his brother] and you could say he "glowed up" . Started getting extra attention from girls, one in particular... Shekinah.

They start seeing one another, he also took her... v card. Next thing you know she is knocked up! Their parents agree the best thing to do [to save face] is for them to get married. Shekinah and Solomon are like 19/20 so they are like w/e. Taryn see's all of this from a distance and is heartbroken.

This is a breakdown of how they met and how they split up. For anyone wondering why Taryn or Solomon can't just give it up.

Detective Solomon Wolff is due to return soon. But did you know he was once partners with Detective Gordon? Fighting crime night and day together in San Myshuno.

Lool I think it’s also taken me a while to know my characters so I’ve always stayed away from these. However! Thank you for asking!

Describe the shoes they’re wearing.

For the last 5 years he has been a Senior Detective. With that comes a beautiful and HEFTY pay cheque. On the job, 9/10 times, Solomon wears Christian Louboutin Chelsea boots. He owns three pairs and only buys a new pair after solving HUGE cases. I guess you could say it’s somewhat of a reward system. With less grunt/leg work and his job being mainly mind mapping, he affords himself this luxury.

As for his off days he likes to be grounded and comfortable. He is often in converses or in a pair of Nikes.

What is the character’s go-to drink order?

Americano with an extra shot of expresso. Not that he likes it, he knows how challenging his work is so he avoids starting his day off with anything that gives him a sense of comfort.

What is their grooming routine?

This man keeps it super simple. He swears by Nivea, Shea butter and Castor oil. Nivea on the face, Shea butter on the body and Castor oil on his hair. His mother whips up a mean Shea butter body butter. Has him smelling like Tonka bean (which is a chocolate/vanilla smell). Perfume wise he goes for Creed, Aventus. IYKYK!

What was their most expensive purchase/where does their disposable income go?

It would have to be where he rests his head! He bought a home with Shekinah in the suburbs of Del Sol Valley. Modest home but still the most expensive purchase he has made. But his disposable income on a regular goes to his clothes. He is not flashy but he does like to invest in quality garments. He appreciates his tailor (✿◡‿◡)
