To anyone that posts stories on Tumblr, whether you heavily edit your photos or just make light changes. What is your setup when you edit?

Do you find a cozy corner somewhere with snacks and or beverage? Do you edit at home, library, coffee shop, on public transport? Do you have to setup at a desk or do you just grab your laptop/tablet and settle yourself somewhere specific or wherever the moment takes you?

Ideally I like to find a cozy corner, with music on that will heavily inspire the scene and a nice cup of peppermint tea OR Salted caramel/Vanilla iced coffee (homemade obvi because coffee shop prices are crazy)

On a level we really don’t know what our mutuals are going through irl. Since coming back and playing catch-up I’ve seen mutuals share heartbreaking news on here. And to be honest with you I don’t even know what to say to them but let them know should they ever need an ear or… a pair of eyes I’m here.

I appreciate when we feel comfortable enough to share vulnerable updates on tumblr, just to let us know what’s happening. To anyone that’s going through a rough patch, I truly hope you’re showing yourself grace in this time.

Hey everybody how are you all doing? I haven’t been here much so I’m not sure what’s really happening however… I have been seeing glimpses of news surrounding the sims. Something about a “marketplace” and how these TRIFLING creators are putting old a** content on this place that simmers are supposedly paying for… b*tch what?

No but real talk what is becoming of this community… scratch that I’m convinced all the folks that are on the marketplace are not REAL simmers. Like I’m ALL for people making a coin. However there’s a point where it stops being about making a lil bag off your hobby and starts being straight up greed and to a degree… predatory. Yeah I said it… 😐

Folks know simmers ride for their pixels and want to give their pixels the best and they prey on that. That’s straight up goofy to prey on simmers like that. Sims never gave money grab so why are we acting like this… 🫤

Anywho… ion even know where that really came from but I just despise seeing such a beautiful community infiltrated by these goofy’s. I hope you’re all able to get their content for the FREE 😌

Reblogs in a chain now get their own notes

The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.

Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.

If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.

Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.

This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!
