Tell me..... A Secret Headcanon. A handcanon you've kept secret until now
Okay I’ll be honest I have about 8000 headcanons but most of them are for my AUs, so to keep things simple I’ll stick with HxH canon-compliant HCs (if you wanted any specific AU you could always send another ask tho)
Anyway, probably two of my favorite headcanons that I’ve kept mostly private thus far are mostly gender-related, since. You know. Since I’m a genderfuck myself- Anyway. (and one may be slightly inspired by a certain Wuzzy, to some extent)
The first is that Killua - at some point in his life - discovers that he’s GNC or genderfluid, and just....goes Ham. All the Fashion and Makeup and Gender Expression Fuckery. Good, Bad, Too Weird To Be Defined - everything. Every possible outlet, he takes it (and Alluka, Gon, Kurapika, Leorio are all there to Squad Up for him, obviously). It’s highly cathartic and 100% because I have to fight every time my parents want me to dress up for anything nowadays, so I’m living vicariously through the fashion boi.
The second is that, at some point, Leorio also goes through a phase where he’s questioning his gender, but doesn’t feel comfortable talking about it to anyone because Killua and Kurapika and Alluka are so confident in their gender expression and he doesn’t feel that way at all. So he hides it until Kurapika catches him (at some point) and helps him work through his feelings on the matter. He ends up deciding that he feels more comfortable identifying as a demiguy after a while thinking about it. (Yes I also relate to this b/c I spent years as Leorio like ‘nah, I’m cis. I’m cis? right?’)
So, as you can see, entirely self-indulgent genderfuckery going on here. Hopefully it’s enjoyable to consider XD
