@somcthingtoboos wanted a thing.
They’d done it. It was over. But Merlin couldn’t think on that now. Since Eggsy had gone off away from the cell block, since he’d seen TILDE locked away. The mission came first, of course, and he’d done his duty. He’d stayed behind those monitors until it was all said and done and Valentine was dead, V-Day over. And the moment he had been certain that they were FINISHED, he’d been out of his chair and out of the plane with his tablet in hand, running down the halls like a bloody Olympic sprinter.
He’d caught the number on the cell, located it swiftly, not even able to pay attention to Eggsy still speaking to him over the comms. He’d talk to the boy later. Merlin made quick work of hacking the cell open and rushed in, pausing for just a brief moment to LOOK at his daughter. She seemed unharmed. Merlin dropped his tablet to the side and closed the distance between them, wrapping her up in his arms and kissing her head. “Ye scared the piss outta me.” He clenched his jaw tight in an attempt to belay whatever tears were forming. “Christ- I was nae sure I’d see ye again...”
