Was there ever a time where Jason attempted to recruit someone to join his storm-into-Gotham-and-kill-the-Batman-army, only to realise this person was completely insane and maybe not very safe to work with?
N--yes. Yes, there was one weirdo. BUT I didn't catch him, because his bullshit kicked in when I was checking out Arkham City, and I'd left Drouot in charge. And I'm literally watching Harley go full ToeJam and Earl on this poor bastard when my phone rings. Now you gotta understand, they don't call me. Ever. I call them, not the other way around. So of course I'm going, worst case scenario, shit-shit-shit, and it doesn't help that when I answer, Drouot and Jones have decided they both need to be on this call.
Now, right before I left, we'd gotten a new batch of recruits. I'd seen them, but not much more than that, figured I'd worry later, right? Wrong. This one-one I did go looking for, for sniper reasons-was. Well. I don't know. I do know that Drouot swore he had 'bad juju', and Jones agreed, so they went digging and turned up a weird streak of things happening to his unit and his being the only survivor. Once, okay, but it was literally like, five times. It was weird. So I tell them to watch him, I'll be back in a few days, it'll be fine.
The literal next day, Drouot calls because Dylan, who is this guy's minder, basically-sniper squad, 'member?-has several people coming to him with Major Concerns about 'I turned around and he was pointing his gun at me', which, that's bad. So I tell them to lock him up somewhere until I get back. That's the end of the calls, so I think it's fine.
It's not. I get back there and he's locked up, all right, but he's fuckin' snapped; raving about killing everyone. I don't know what his deal was, but I do know that we got rid of him. It was a mess.
