A man I recently met told me today "Auston Matthews is the most straight, manly hockey player I can imagine???" In response to me saying some nonsense about how if any one hockey C was gonna come out as gay I'd be least surprised by it being AM34.
Like my man, we are living in two VERY different worlds.

hey don’t tell anyone but my goal is to be done with this stupid fic outline by the end of February
strawberry fields.
some vague ideas about ash recruitment throughout the games:
origins: you find them outside of genitivi’s house after you encounter “weylon” - they will repeat whatever you say back to you, with a change in inflection that generally reads as though they’d like to accompany you or they’re looking for the ashes, or or or. if recruited, they fight as a mage, notably without a staff. they favor flames. if you attempt to taint the ashes they will kill you, there is no try. they’ll also show some recognition of the spirit representing shartan and seem genuinely grieved, more than just someone who might have an attachment to the story. banter might reveal that at least wynne has realized what they are, maybe morrigan also.
da2: they don’t show up until act three, maybe act two if i’m feeling generous. their involvement here is minimal. they’re a random encounter on the coast, appearing to be a mage caged by some templars traveling back to kirkwall. you can fight the templars and free them. if anders or merrill are in the party, they’ll likely clock them as a spirit - but a little wrong. they’ll take an offer to join the party but honestly i haven’t gotten thoughts on their wider involvement yet. they may try to talk to meredith later, with little success.
inquisition: they come to you - sort of. they’re drawn to haven by the tug of the breach and the combined emotional devastation of the faithful. there’s an ambient commotion as some templars hold them at sword point maybe, and recruitment follows from there. they’re obviously here to help. who? who knows. i think similar to cole, there’s some apprehension from a lot of your companions because at best they seem to be an abomination, at worst ????? who even knows. i think their later banter with cole would be fun.
