1. If you were forced into exile, which country would you want to move to permanently? Probably Japan. I love their food and culture, I can speak the language (こんにちは) and I have my TESL and could teach English, so I would also have a job. Come to think of it, why don't I just move there?
2. Have you ever had a story (of any medium) substantially affect your life? Out of all the stories that I've been told, all the books I've read, the movies I've watched, there is one series that so greatly affected me that I still define myself based on it. I'm not the only one either. Obviously, the answer is Harry Potter. Does anyone on Tumblr not know what Hogwarts house they'd be in? I'd be a Ravenclaw, in case you were wondering. I could write for ages on ways this series has impacted my life and changed the way I view the world. There's not enough space in this post for it, however.
3. Would you rather have tea with Dolores Umbridge for an hour, or be Grawp’s new playmate for a month? (Or if you’ve never read/watched Harry Potter: What is the first thing you think of when you hear the word Hufflepuff? See? Harry Potter. I approached this question very oddly, actually. I considered that of the two, Grawp isn't intentionally malicious whereas Umbridge is seriously sadistic and evil. Now the real question is, who would I rather inflict myself on? Obviously Umbridge deserves it more than poor Grawp. And I'd have an entire hour. What fun.
4. BBC knocks on your door and asks you to write an episode for one of their shows. What would you do!? Obviously accept. I'm a writer. Writing for the BBC would be like a ridiculously unlikely dream come true.
5. Air, water, earth, fire, or fan and sword! Watertribe!
6. Do have any hobbies you’d like to share? Reading pretty much anything, sometimes I write fanfiction (I'm published, but sometimes I write ridiculous things just because), RPGs like D&D (although I prefer Dark Heresy), researching (I know, I'm boring, right?) and daydreaming about situations that would never happen but would be fun.
7. City, suburb, town, or countryside? I'd have to say city, even though I really like the countryside for its rugged landscape and untamed wildness (I'm from Northern Canada, it doesn't get much more rugged than that), it's too far away from everyone.
8. Oh no! You’re suddenly flung through the heavens and land on your favourite celebrity! What do you do? Hyperventilate and die. It would probably be very upsetting for poor Benedict Cumberbatch, but that is what would transpire nonetheless.
9. What is your favourite instrument? If I'm listening to it, the cello. If you want me to actually play it... well, I can't play anything except the recorder, so let's stick with the cello.
10. Is there anything you’ve wanted to talk about, but have been too nervous to do so? Here’s your opportunity! Or, you know, you could just eat cake. You promised me cake.
