oh it's going to die for all of them! for my own oc purposes, all four ambitions happen in ✨ One Big Shared Continuity ✨. they just happen one after the other.

Do you think the quality of the events' writing has decreased over time?

i dont wanna make any hard claims since there's a big chunk of events, both newer ones and older i haven't gotten time to sit down and read yet, but i have seen a noticeable decline in quality just from the ones i have read that were a bit older vs the ones from 2025 specifically....something cursed happened in 2025 i feel lol

they tended to either be huge nothing burgers, or start off interesting but kinda fizzle out..i think the only one i genuinely enjoyed the entire way through for the most part was labyrinth afterglow, and i feel like thats almost cheating bc how can you fuck up a premise like that lmao. wilting flowers and burning dreams was really well written, just fun and interesting to read that made me excited for the next part but....the ending..eh...nu carnival tends to have trouble ending events from what ive seen. id say a big part of that is that everything always has to be wrapped up in a neat little bow after, but they have had events where that didnt happen so i guess that could be chalked up to worsening writing quality.

i think the last year felt particularly egregious bc we had multiple meh / just kinda okay or fun but nothing special events just stacked on top of each other, shout out to hidden wings in particular my beloathed i hate that fucking event to this day and ill never stop hating, so boring and pointless AND they sucked out all the booty fat on edmond on that ssr AND it should have been rei/edmond

so yeah just off the cuff id say its gotten worse over time, i will feel more strongly about this once i have read all the events in about 20 years
