I can't tell if I'm going crazy or reading too much into this with my hyper fixation on Ethari or something, but the parallels between Zubeia and Ethari are KILLING me. Like, while we now know that Runaan is ACTUALLY alive and freed, like out of the coin, ETHARI doesn't, so he thinks he's still dead (and even before that, when Runaan was in the coin, he WAS gone, like he might've never gotten out, and then he REALLY would be lost to Ethari).
Zubeia lost Avizandum, her love, because he was killed/turned to stone by Viren, and Runaan was imprisoned by him, making Ethari think he's dead.
So to both of them, their spouse is dead. Gone. Then, they both lost their kids (Ethari knew Rayla was alive, but he ghosted her and didn't exactly have positive feelings towards her because of Runaan, so she WAS gone, at least in some sense) until finding out they were alive and well from the journey to the storm spire and getting some closure on the fact that they were safe (well, not safe, but you get what I mean). Now, their kids, Rayla and Zym, are both running around screaming (or in Zym's case, roaring), trying to solve everything, and they (Zubeia and Ethari) are all alone worrying about them. THE PARALLELS?!?!?
