Four trees - two dead and two alive
Yes I have an obsession with trees, dead as well as living. Dead trees are part of the cycle of life, something we all should appreciate and understand as none of us are here forever. I'm not one of those who would prefer dead trees to be removed and the landscape 'tidied' up. So long as a dead tree is not a danger, they need to be left, not least because they provide a valuable habitat as well as a timely reminder of our own eventual mortality…

Trees by the Avon…
Some of which look to be on their way out. Such is the cycle of life - we come, we go and in between, we hope to make some kind of positive impact upon this world. Which as it's sliding ever closer to a dystopian hellhole, is increasingly harder to do:( As ever, these tree shots are rendered in glorious black and white because…that's the way I'm rolling at the moment…

Blushes of green in the Spring:)
Finally, the leaves are coming back out again as Spring finally and fully awakens from her slumbers. Despite everything that's going wrong with the world at the moment, seeing these blushes of fresh green on the trees has lifted my spirits:)

The dead tree obsession continues…
This obsession is a weird combination of an appreciation of the aesthetic interest of dead wood and, me thinking about my mortality. Sorry, that's just how I'm rolling at the moment…

A grey day on the Hams
The grey skies are definitely back with a degree of haze thrown into the mix. These were definitely not good conditions for shooting images in. This meant that the local tone mapping filter in Corel PaintShop Pro had to do some heavy lifting to put some life into this set of images. The mood can best be described as sullen in this eclectic set of images.
