It’s cheeky, and almost blink-and-you-miss it. The press of lips against Beatrix’s cheek as something blurs past her into the woods.
Those who protected the wood often were confused for forest spirits, and Fanilana was certainly one of those more, mischievous ones.
She was not ignorant to the viera despite never having encountered them. However there was no ill will towards the woods, nor any creature that lay within. The General was, for the time being, a mere passerby with sword appropriately squared away upon her hip.
A too close proximity, heard first, felt only seconds after, Beatrix was too stunned of some... thing passing so close upon her blind side. Such speed, reflex gripped her blade and struck out too slow towards whoever it was.
Left standing there, she kept stance with full awareness she was no longer alone. Only in stretched wait did her shoulders relax, as did her hostility as Save the Queen was sheathed back into place once more. There was an irritable side that hoped the offense would not be repeated and left behind in the forest.
If not... she was at least more aware for next time they neared so close.
