The incredibly delightful Sommer posted these to me, I gave 'em a shot.
1. Describe your favorite birthday
Uhh is it weird to say my mom's birthday? One time we went to the Greek place just a little way out from the beach and we got chicken souvlaki and we went to Calf Pasture Beach and sat at one of the picnic tables and later I went down to the still-cold water. The sun was setting. It was a lovely evening.
2. What do you do to cheer yourself up?
I eat chocolate, listen to music, or cheer someone else up. Dancing is also one of those things that you can't feel horrible after you do it because come on.
3. What is your favorite poem?
(This was very difficult.)
"Tanka", por Claribel Alegría
4. Something you wish you could tell someone:
Both of you have been working so hard. I'm sad I'm gonna miss some of the ride, but damn, you're gonna be awesome.
5. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Wow, I would LOVE to go back and live in Buenos Aires.
6. It’s 2030. What are you up to?
Let's see....I'm 37 years old. Maybe I'm married? I feel like I'd at least have one or two kids in my life. I've been working abroad for several years but I am back in the States, spreading some sort of knowledge or joy or protection.
7. Who’s your role model?
It sounds cheesy, but my parents, man. They're pretty awesome and I want to be as good of a person as they are. (Also they're hilarious.)
8. What’s your favorite outfit to wear?
Right now: skinny jeans, my silly oxford heels, a black tank top, some sort of sweater maybe, and some crazy earrings.
9. What does your dream house look like?
The only thing I know is that it has a functional upper-floor balcony. I love balconies, man.
10. What are you excited about?
Italian! Languages! Linguistics! Making people happy!
11. What (or who) are you most proud of?
I'm really proud of the work Emerson and I have done this year for Midnight Cabaret. Not only did we produce some interesting theater, but I think we were also successful in creating a supportive community for anyone who wanted to join in. I feel like I've learned so much about working with people, and mediation, and most importantly I'm starting to learn how to say "no", which was the hardest thing for me.
