recently I have been obsessed with Todd's music so much especially his greatest album, Something/ Anything. And yep from the caption you can tell what my favorite track is (!!) I got an idea from this song and to be honest, I pictured it in my *intoxicated* imagination every time I listened to this song so that's the reason for this work, although at first, I was so agitated and struggled with how I communicate my idea through the art it turned out quite great for me, I might go more serious with my art acc because I tried of my tedious feed (this work took me 2 days to create not including the day of ideas thinking)

LET’S LEAVE HIM ALONE IN THE STUDIO, SEE WHAT HAPPENS #4. Okay, first, there aren’t too many songs I like more than “Couldn’t I Just Tell You” and I know I’m not alone. I know you love it, too. Much as I enjoy “Hello, It’s Me” and acknowledge that “I Saw the Light” is professionally catchy, the album is sort of a 2-disc vessel to carry the monster riff of “Couldn’t I etc,” the ambiguous lyrical message, his “Hear Me Ow-Oot” falsetto, the yelly verses and wistful chorus ....they just, oh you know, they kill a rock nerd dead. Second, before we traded mp3s illegally and burned borrowed CDs in our disc drives, we loaned each other our LPs to put on cassettes. I don’t know whose copy I recorded onto a Maxell cassette but I drove around listening to #toddrundgren having such a blast writing and playing all these different wonderful and not-as-wonderful songs and living in a studio (what a great shot inside the gatefold, so ....so romantic, I guess, to live that way, theoretically)... I got this copy cheap recently (you can see how beat up the cover is, but it plays fine). It's a new month and a perfect time for a #VinylAndBeerSunday. I have been traveling quite a bit during the past several days. But I wanted to dig into a some newer music (for me). I recently discovered the vast catalog of TODD RUNDGREN. I didn't know much of his music aside for a few of his 1970s hits. It was suggested that I check out SOMETHING/ANYTHING. I found a nice copy of his 1972 release and I have to say that I am blown away by the inventive arrangements and tunes. I'm just catching up with RUNDGREN and this double album is filled to the brim with catchy tunes and imagination. I think that it will take a couple spins for me to fully appreciate it. Why did it take so long for me to get into this catalog? I have accompanied tonight's creative music with an equally inventive and creative brew from CULMINATION BREWING COMPANY in Portland, Oregon. I found a new brew to me that is apparently no longer in production. Their EUPHORIC BRETT IPA is a wild brew with lots of hops, bitterness, and funky overtones. It's also highly carbonated with lots of tropical flavor in the background. It's a perfect off kilter beer for a double album of eclectic tunes. So...what are you listening to tonight?
