Hello! I’m doing well! Just finished 3rd year of university and then a 3 week long vacation in America, and 4 days in Thailand next month! It’s been a busy year so far. (Sorry for the super late reply!)

In terms of overlap with SLBP characters, I would say maybe Nobuyuki? But I think Hanzo has a more cruel/indifferent streak to him that Nobuyuki doesn’t have. And Nobuyuki has that caring, I-love-my-family-and-will-murder-to-keep-them-safe side to him, while Hanzo basically only cares about MC. And maybe Ieyasu occasionally. Perhaps Hanzo would be more like Nobuyuki if he were brought up in a nice supportive family sans poison, and Nobuyuki would be more like Hanzo if he were brought up in a ninja village? Food for thought. They’re both definitely down to do some manipulation and scheming if it gets them what they want - so I feel like their base personalities are somewhat similar, and the differences are from their respective upbringings.

I think Hanzo is more similar to Rei from Several Shades of Sadism (the Arithmetic game that I abandoned when their quality checks basically disappeared down the drain). They’re both very calculative and cold on the inside while pretending to be nice and genuinely don’t seem to give a shit about anyone beyond their SOs.

Also maybe not an otome game, and also I haven’t read his backstory, but Peking Duck from Food Fantasy gives me mild Hanzo vibes…?

How does Kojuro say "precious girl/dear girl/darling" in Japanese when he talks to MC? How does Shigezane say "doll" in Japanese? I know Saizo's "little lady" = お前さん but I'm curious ab the others :)

He doesn’t, he just addresses MC by name or name-san! Shigezane doesn’t have pet names in Japanese either, iirc. It’s a very English thing.

...wait... actually now that I think about it, I vaguely remember Shigezane’s retainers having a pet name for MC. Was it maybe hime...? I can’t recall...

Mitsuhide: has fallen asleep out of sheer exhaustion. sorry. you kiss his forehead and tuck him into bed.

Yukimura: has been goaded into having a drinking competition with the other retainers and is way too drunk to know what is going on. apologizes on his knees the next day

Saizo: is busy trying to avoid getting pulled into Yukimura’s drinking frenzy but shows up at the perfect moment to kiss you before vanishing off to god-knows-where again

Masamune: drinking in his room, just the two of you. he leans in at just the right moment. it’s romantic and sweet.

Kojuro: having a private little party with masamune and shigezane and you. masamune has fallen asleep, so kojuro kisses you in front of shigezane. there is catcalling and drunken whooping. masamune is still asleep.

Hideyoshi: happily kisses you in front of everyone. privacy? who needs that

Inuchiyo: is drunk as hell and slobbers on you a bit. oops. somebody stop him

Ieyasu: pretends he doesn’t care but he totally does. don’t you dare look at him. he did not kiss you at midnight. he just felt like doing it. he wasn’t aware of the time. shut up

Mitsunari: carefully explains to you in detail how these customs are arbitrary and meaningless but kisses you anyway because he wants you to be happy

Kenshin: kisses you in front of everyone while kageie applauds. kagetsugu and kanetsugu are pointedly looking down into their cups. yoshichi is blushing but watching, and bemoaning his lack of a partner. kageie offers to kiss him if he wants.

Shingen: has already been making out with you on and off throughout the night, but plants an especially loud one on you. everyone cheers. yukimura passes out and is dragged into a corner

Bonus:

Shigezane offers to kiss Masamune and Kojuro since they’re all single af and is immediately threatened with physical expulsion from the castle

what did you think about kojuro, saizo, masamune, hideyoshi, and mitsunari's sequels? (if you read all of them)

i did read them! very vague spoilers after cut

Kojuro: the most painful intrigue story i ever read. i sobbed. my heart was torn to shreds. I SUFFERED. i also hated hideyoshi more after this lmao. i was SO UPSET AND ANGRY (with both kojuro and hideyoshi tbh)

Saizo: a good route with insight into his backstory. i appreciated it. sandayu is a bag of dicks and i hope he falls on a pointy tree.

Masamune: yoshihime appears quite a lot. i’m expecting a lot of yoshihime hatred in the next month or so. personally i found this one a bit boring. lots of marriage stuff

Hideyoshi: i swear to god i must have read it because my game data says so, but i cannot remember a single thing about it. so i guess it must have been... ok? did i just tap through it? no idea.

Mitsunari: i took really long breaks while reading his route so honestly i don’t feel that i can have a valid opinion here. BUT i will say that a hc i wrote a looooooong time ago is pretty close to what happens in the epilogue. that alone, if nothing else, makes me like it a little bit lol.

Do you think MC suffered from Stockholm syndrome in Hanzo’s shadow end?

i think that’s very possible but i’m more concerned about the drugs he had her on tbh. i find her super unreliable in the epilogue because of the drugs, so...

actually he didn’t die in the divine ending… i kept waiting for him to die but he didn’t LMAO. maybe he died in the other ending? but usually if there’s death it happens in divine, so idk
