The Barstools Are On Fire
We’re entering the Darkest day of an Interesting year
Shoehorned into long Old and cold nights Waiting for the sun To be close to us again

Random Talk: VEDA, Wasps, Somewhere To and Twitter Fame
Me talking about some random things on my mind. I don't share a lot of my YouTube videos on Tumblr but maybe I should start
Free spaces for any project you can think of
Guys I have a thing to tell you, and if you would help I'd like to get the word out so that more people can find out about this and use it.
My cousin is involved in an organisation called Somewhere To (https://somewhereto.com/), basically they want 16-25 year olds to come to them with projects - literally any kind of project, you need a space for band practice? you want to practice a sport? you want to organise a meetup? (fandoms like wtnv I'm looking at you) - so yeah you tell them what you want to do, and they look for a space for you to do it. a free space.
they're all about connecting young people with free spaces to carry out their ideas, so you ask, and they find
so yeah, I think this should be more widely known, because I'd never heard of it, and it seems like it could be useful
Tom Milsom's Organs Launch Party in association with Somewhere to ____
Musician Tom Milsom chose to commemorate the release of his album Organs with a launch party held across four days at an indoor space — previously a high street shop — converted to resemble his own bedroom.
Milsom is best known within online circles, particularly the British Youtube community, youtube.com being the platform wherein his began his musical career and gaining recognition.
The installation was envisioned as a space for fans and followers to meet artists, including Milsom and others, who performed live music during the event, and meet one another, within a social, relaxed, positive environment.
Maroon drapes and fairy lights replicated features of the artists bedroom, his actual bed was featured in the installation, on which viewers/attendees could sit and lie on, next to a computer desk playing Organs from iTunes as incidental music.
Milsom records much of his music in his bedroom, Organs was recorded over a period of three years. He recreates his bedroom setting as a reflection of both it being such a personal, isolated space and of the autobiographical nature of his music. By reimagining this setting in a communal event, he symbolically opens his private self to the public, destroying, perhaps defeating the isolation temporarily, or at least reconciling it with his artistic creation.
Significantly the space is flooded with strangers, and Milsom allows them to alter the space by drawing on the walls with available Sharpie's, literally leaving their mark on Milsom’s private life.
Additionally, a series of performances were staged over the four days, including a film screening accompanied by improvised live music, a “mass exodus” (Facebook event page) to Replay live music event at Islington Assembly hall in which Milsom performed, and a filmed performance and interview with Somewhere To___.

The Real Underground
We’re all about unlocking space and no space is unlockable! As it’s a week for spooky goings on, we’re getting into the Hallowe’en feel here and thinking about the most spooky space we could unlock. For that, we need a dark place, a cold, dark place, a spoooooky, cold, dark place...
No, we’re not talking about your nan’s downstairs toilet. We’re talking about what lies beneath and we’ve found some pretty interesting events going on in some of the UK’s many caves, caverns and vaults.
Chislehurst Caves, Kent
In the dark recesses of Kent lies a group who take part in a social gathering called Labyrinthe who take part in LRP or Live Role Play. The best way to find your way around this maze of dark passageways is by glowstick..apparently!
The Caves, Edinburgh
Loads of events happen in this exciting venue that are hidden vaults rather than natural caves. If you’re in the area you can be treated to music gigs and club nights. You can even get married down there is that’s your thing!
Clearwell Caves, Forest of Dean
This Saturday 3 November these guys are hosting a new comedy play called ‘A Curious Evening of Trance and Rap with the Ogden Sisters.’ But they’ve hosted Hallowe’en fancy dress parties and slightly more expected, deep level caving trips. Get your hard hats on!
Do you need a space unlocking? No matter how bizarre, unique, or even spooky... give somewhereto_ a shout and see what we can do for you!
