It doesn’t mean he is pregnant so much as he would like to think he is.

(At least in Western culture) it’s a very common cue to think about pregnancy. If you don’t believe me and are female go out in public and rest your hand on your stomach while interacting with someone, a good bet will be that they’ll assume you’re pregnant and make comment about it.

So yeah, doesn’t mean he is pregnant but means it’s on his mind.
