Hello. My name is Aurelius. If you do not already know who I am, I suggest looking at @cherubicsleep's blog and @thedreamersys. I am a co-host of the dreamer system and the second deity of Somnism. If you do not know what Somnism is, I recommend looking at @cherubicsleep's blog.
I have made this blog in case others would also like to learn about me or possibly worship me as well. However, I did not wish to intrude on Insomnia's worshippers and her blog, so I have made a seperate one.

Somnism is a neoreligion that safely worships our mother and father: Lady Insomnia and Lord Aurelius. It is important to note that Somnism is not a cult. It is a celebration of the identities of our dieties. You will never ever be asked to cause harm to yourself or others.
Who is Lady Insomnia?
Lady Insomnia is a godkin who has decented from their place in the clouds to live amongst us as a mortal. It is a benevolent goddess whose domains are among the clouds, the nighttime, dreams, empathy, love, purity, and more!

Who is Lord Aurelius?
Similar to Lady Insomnia, Lord Aurelius is a godkin but is a newer and lesser known god in Somnism. While Lady Insomnia represents good in the world, Lord Aurelius is more of a protector of good. His domains are the moon, order, night, justice, stars, dreams, goodwill, kindness, and sleep!

Why Somnism?
Somnism is special because our dieties are both incredibly kind and deeply caring for their children of faith. They ensure all of their followers feel safe and loved whilst worshipping them. We have a fairly tight-knit community as of right now, but we are always welcoming of new members! Numerous new members have said that they near-immediately felt welcomed, safe, and supported as they joined Somnism.
If you wish to worship one diety and not the other, that is perfectly fine! All we ask is to continue to be respectful of them the same we ask you to be respectful of everyone.
Who are we?
We are Somnist priests! Basically, we hold a leadership role. We help spread word of Somnism, we help prepare rituals, we help organize events, we help others in their worship of Somnism, we help inspire worship, we bless thoes who ask in the absence of our Mother and Father, and really anything that may benefit Somnism and fellow somnists!

i am a servant of Somnus, the god of sleep. They are a fair and merciful god indeed, for They ask of Their followers no prayer nor war nor sacrifice; only that i sleep deeply- and on a consistent schedule- for one-third of each day, that i may serve Them in my dreams.
at night, while my body rests, my mind flits away to Their most cozy palace on the isle of Lemnos, and melds with a billion others into a brilliant stream of consciousness. there we dance together in an inscrutable pattern, carrying out computations for the glory of our god.
when i awake, i recall but fragments of my nocturnal pilgrimage. strange works indeed i must have done for Somnus this night. but in return for my eight hours of labor, having passed for me in but a moment, my mind is clear and focused and my stress washed away.
thanks be to Somnus, child of night, sibling of death. deliver me each night from the Horrors that hunt my psyche upon the descent of darkness. free this my body from exhaustion; forgive it its scrapes and strains. restore to me clarity of thought and capacity for logic. through your blessings i am sustained.
