“Y'know you could totally just walk in and pet them, right?” she wasn’t counting, but this man has been standing outside of a pet shop for roughly 10 minutes. Someone’s gotta help that poor soul. “They won’t charge for it. Could it be that you’re embarrassed? It’s so punk rock for dudes to love animals, though.”

    There were many things that had challenged her in life. Ideals put to the test of wavering. Mortals who believed themselves her better. Enemies who thought twice after brushing her off as a mere little girl. Yet none of that could prepare her for the next test in life. 

She was one born to thrive in the midst of combat. Her sword in her hand as she slashed down every obstacle in her way. This was not to say the brain kept within her head was left to dust. It simply performed optimally when in this field of expertise. This was normal for anyone right?

Right. She mumbled this while staring down that which opposed her. 

They had called it a ticketing machine. In words it was simplistic in nature. She had even taken time to observe others perform the sacrificial act of exchange in order to award themselves a token of pass. This is why she is confused, frustrated, now. For some reason the machine denies her access and with it, a ride on the howling beast known as Subway.

“Old habits die hard, huh?” Gladio smirks from the apartment couch, only really half teasing because old habits do die hard. Here they are, miles, universes, away from Insomia and here Gladio is, pulling Noctis’ leg. Here he is, still unsatisfied with Noctis.

He huffs, and crosses his arms across his chest. The click of his tongue rings out a little louder than he wants it to be, but he supposes that doesn’t matter, considering his rising levels of frustration. Gladio levels his gaze on Noctis, suddenly not teasing in the slightest.

“A completely new city and all you can do with yourself is mooch off Ignis and sleep. Are you ever going to actually get a job?”
