In these videos, you get to see Min Kyunghoon the rock band main vocalist, not Min Kyunghoon the entertainer.

Believe me, I love Min Kyunghoon through and through, but I feel like not enough is said about how charismatic he is on-stage.

When he’s off-stage, when he’s on 아는 형님/Knowing Bros/Ask Us Anything/Men on a Mission or any other program, he’s adorable, cute, charming, witty (and perverted lmao), but also quiet, shy, reserved, sometimes forgotten or looked over.

When he’s on-stage, through, I feel like he comes to life, a presence you simply cannot ignore, no matter how hard you try.

A fire rages behind his eyes as he pours his heart and soul out into the words that fall from his lips, each note articulated clearly as they are expelled from his lungs like a blow to the face. You can see the passion in him as he sings, hear the emotions in his voice, see how his 눈빛 shifts from innocent and unassuming to commanding your attention like a magnet drawing iron filings to it (there isn’t a direct translation in English but the best way to describe it is that a person’s 눈빛 is the expression(?) in their eyes). It’s raw: unadulterated emotions swirling together to helplessly spellbind those who watch. (매력이있어).

Gone is the cute man we all know and love. Gone are the dimpled smiles, the unintentional aegyo, the shyness, the periodically quick-witted comments. In their place is a ferocity barely restrained, mesmerizing charisma, confidence, charm oozing from head to toe as he captivates and enchants the audience with the power of his voice, sometimes clear and piercing through you, other times deep and husky as it pleasantly drags through your very core. The look in his eyes (refer to the fourth link at 0:40 for a perfect example of what I mean) taking your breath away, the occasional innocent, dimpled smile, an arresting smirk, or a sly, irresistibly gorgeous grin that saunters across his lips, almost cocky and yet not overwhelming or irritable; rather, it’s bold enough that it makes him devastatingly attractive, a veritable dark horse who at first doesn’t seem very impressionable, but when he opens his mouth and sings, you’re done for. Once he’s cast his spell on you, that’s it. You’re never breaking free.

Don’t forget though, Buzz is a rock band full of talent, each member bringing distinctive talent and appeal that draws in people of all ages and genders, and without any one of them, the band would not be the same.

However, without Min Kyunghoon, I think Buzz wouldn’t be Buzz anymore. Not only has the band been through a lot together, but as the main vocalist, Kyunghoon brings something special that can’t be replicated, because no one can perfectly mimic or reproduce the power, the sentiment, the enthrallment his unique, colorful voice brings, the way he seems to endlessly fascinate and seduce (which I don’t mean sexually but it can be taken that way if you want) those who watch Buzz perform.

I am not dismissing the other members of Buzz (Kim Yejoon/김예준 (leader, drummer), Shin Joonki/신준기 (bassist), Son Sunghee/손성희 (guitarist), Yoon Woohyun/윤우현 (guitarist)). I’d actually like to point out how passionately they play: how energetic they are on-stage. As they play their instruments, it’s impossible not to feel what they feel, how they too pour out everything they have into their instruments and enrapture the audience with the fervor of their performances. With every beat of a drum, with every strum of a guitar or bass, with every note sung, they paint a stunning landscape of raw emotions and allure that is distinctly theirs, and because they have known each other so long, and performed countless stages together, the members of Buzz are able to play and sing in a way that compliment one another and also uplift their band to a whole other level most bands dream of reaching, voices and sounds interweaving together perfectly until they are seamless, united as one to bring those viewing them a stage they’ll never forget.

Yes, practically anyone can learn how to play an instrument, and there are thousands of talented drummers, guitarists, bassists, vocalists, et cetera, but to know yourself, your instrument, your band members so well you fit together like matching puzzle pieces to a complex puzzle only you know how to solve, it takes years of practice, of playing together, of truly getting to know your bandmates on a deeply personal level instead of just on a work level.

Basically. Stan Min Kyunghoon. Stan Buzz. And go check them out.

You won’t be disappointed.
