Studying some mfs that have been missing since 1993 or smth
I wasn’t gonna post these bc I make notes for myself and therefore don’t give a shit about the handwriting, but idc I spent way too fucking long on this
I usually do studies in traditional so I don’t use transform tools and stuff, train myself to actually draw it yknow, but uhhhhhh i didnt…. Idk why
Despite what the notes will make you believe, ray was 1000x harder, it took me 8 hours to finish sketching his body….. but bro once I figured it out I had the time of my life
Mighty was fun at the start and then I wanted to die towards the end ❤️ but I did learn something so I GEEUUUUSSSS studying is important… sighhhhh….
Also these will change overtime bc I use studies as notepads whenever I notice something new, so uhhhh any empty space will be filled with notes, I assure you.
Ok this went from doodle to pose practice to fashion practice to rendering to hue shifting and the whole time I was taking notes on something that wasn’t even a study?? This drawing had a mind of its own man
I was hoping to draw other characters in fun clothes (as in Sonia, I wanted to draw Sonia. And I will soon trust) but this guy is a mind virus that makes me only think about him, some might say im going MANIC AAAAAAHAHAHHAHHA I feel like I’ve made that joke before…. Anyway
Yeah so I actually drew the dancing pose first, then drew the sitting one, colored it, and felt bad for the dancing pose bc I liked it better but for some reason didnt color it.
And wow i still like the dancing pose better lol, i let it stay cartoonish so the clothes look better, and gave a shit about the color palette?
Just goes to show that you don’t have to hyper render your drawings to make them “better” I got halfway through rendering and decided i didn’t want to anymore and i still like it better than the fully rendered drawing.
Moral of the story LET ART BE FUNNNNNN IT DOESNT HAVE TO LOOK LIKE WHATS IN UR HEAD, UR BRAIN IS JUST AS IMPERFECT AS YOUR HANDS, YOU MIGHT LIKE SOMETHING BETTER IF YOU LET IT DO ITS OWN THING !! The sink is outside again.
I am having such a fun time using what I’m learning and applying it to the characters in my head inbetween lunch breaks. I hope you guys enjoy my journey as much as I enjoy it
