[I never actually got around to saying this, but that one part in the ask box you direct towards Nice specifically is hilarious.] "Ah, what a cruel fate I am subject to. Not even my friend will offer me a penny for his thoughts." Sometimes Nice is worse than Birthday in terms of melodrama acting.
The inspector raised a brow at his friend. “Nice, what are you talking about?” Art had no idea why Nice suddenly felt this way. Was it because of his reluctance to share any case work with him? Well, that wasn’t going to change anytime soon.
Nice secretly took out the hidden bag of Konpeito and left it on the dining table after Kou left. "Night." And then he left quickly. The Minimum Holder didn't regret taking away most of Art's candy stash though. [I did say I could sorta fix it...]
"Ah, goodnight Nice." Art called after the Minimum Holder who had left in quite a rush. The inspector sighed, still heartbroken about his stash of sweets being so vicious devoured by Gou and Nice. How cruel… He turned his head and something colourful caught his eye from the dining table. His lips turned up in a smile when he walked over and picked up the bag of Konpeito. His favourite sweets. Nice must have left them for him.
While it was a nice gesture and he did appreciate. The inspector was irked over the fact they had eaten all his sweets…

"Well, my dear first mate, we chill and wait for a job." And of course, Nice didn’t realize any potential repercussions of playing along and calling Birthday his first mate. He leaned back on the counter and tilted his head back. "Koneko, any jobs come up yet?"
As usual, the answer was no. “Or we could make a job ourselves. Wanna try selling lemonade for 100 yen?” he joked.
"Well my dear first mate-- I didn't know you swung that way~" The blond could only let out a small chuckle. "Unfortunately, I don't~ maybeido If you want -- your first mate can be Murasaki or somethin'!"
Birthday leaned against the counter as well. "Hm-- Nah." Right at that moment, the phone rung and immediately, Koneko went to answer it, informing the two that they had a job. "Well, partner-- Looks like we have a job~"

48: Assassin!AU
Art’s sharp gaze stayed transfixed on the auburn haired man he was currently following, his assassination target. He had no idea why someone wanted this young man dead and he was a bit irked by that but his superior refused to tell him. He just said it was of the utmost importance that he was killed as quickly as possible. Yet even though he was an assassin, Art still had high morals and would refuse to kill anyone for a reason he didn’t think was just. He was perfectly fine with killing criminals but not innocent civilians. His superior put up with this because he was good at his job and hadn’t failed or been caught once.
His current target was a young man by the name of Nice. A peculiar name but he really couldn’t judge. He knew nothing else about him and that was making him hesitant in actually carrying out his assassination attempt. He didn’t want to kill someone for a reason he didn’t see as valid. Art had actually wanted to refuse the job but he was also curious as to why this young man was to a target. Plus his superior was very adamant on him taking on this particular job. Which was a little strange.
The assassin sighed feeling slightly frustrated and wiped his brow. It was a hot day and the sun was beating down merciless on the town. Art really wasn’t fond of the heat but that was the least of his worries. The street Nice was walking down was bustling with life. People were popping in and out of shops and chatting idly about numerous things as they walked. Most wore colourful summer clothes and seemed to be enjoying the unexpected heat wave.
The assassin continued watching Nice like a hawk would its prey. He needed to wait patiently until he had a chance to strike. Good thing he was patient as he couldn’t see an ample opportunity arising anytime soon. Which he supposed was for the best, given how uncertain he was about this whole thing. Perhaps observing Nice for a while more would be wise. Maybe he could figure out why someone was so eager to have him killed.
