Sonic Shipping, Logically Speaking; SonicXRouge

Characters involved: Sonic the Hedgehog and Rouge the Bat.

Most well known nickname: Sonouge. At least, that's what I've come to know it as.

Original date of ship: Probably 2003, with Sonic Battle. 

Analysis of chemistry (aka why people do/don't ship it): Sonic and Rouge as a pair lies firmly as a lower rung on the popularity ladder. Both characters have other love interests that people tend to devote their time to more. Despite this, it's not like there's no material there, and for good reason; Rouge is a flirt who is fine with 'playing the field' in a G-rated manner, and Sonic is a laid-back dude who is willing to react to the flirting with playful retorts. This is especially the case in Sonic Battles and Sonic Chronicles (should you choose to pursue the playful path with Rouge). With the sort of dialogue they've had, it's no wonder they have a following of sorts. 

Personal Opinion: Once again neutral, albeit I get this one much less than the other two. Any banter between them seems either just part of their nature or in a non-serious context. 

Likelihood in the games: I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the chances are pretty low. Having multiple love interests is standard in a harem anime, but here the two characters are stretched out for love interests as is, and they've had far less interaction between them than any of the other potential suitors.
