My new album "Soniscope" is out today (Sep 10, 2021) on Dauw!

Vinyls are on the way and digital downloads are pay what you want/can for the next 14 days till September 23rd(hurry up!) and including the rework by Foam and Sand, the new ambient project by the award-winning producer Robot Koch.

And this album has two collaboration tracks - one is with my friend and a talented strings player Atsuko Hatano, and the other one is with the wonderful Aaron Hemphill aka Nonpareils - both made this record so special.

One track of my score for the short film Mizuko is featured as well.

Soniscope is a rainy day album.  When sun and sand beckon, the music fades into the background; but when one is stuck inside, dreaming of the beach, the sounds surge to the foreground.  Midori Hirano‘s compositions seem simple on the surface but are intricate beneath.  This is displayed on “Phantom Train” (the fourth track in Juno Daily’s Dauw mix), where a beat invites movement as her textures…
