Guys I finally finished this Tetris cube thing I was making! It took 162 pieces of paper, a couple of hours, and now my fingers are dry as hell, but I’ve done it!
Decided to reupload here this with better sizing between each segment
The units used are all variations of the classic origami Sonobe unit.
It took over 8 hours to just fold all the units.
Inspired by this work here.
I've been wanting to try out using custom patterned paper for modular origami for a while, so I ended up making this 12 piece Sonobe octahedron for a friend. It features Death from Darksiders II, which they really enjoy. It's not perfect but I want to experiment more with this.
3 Toshie's Jewels with a Variety of Sonobe Variations Folded 10/16/2013 Made with 3" x 3" memo sheets
I was folding some Sonobe variations for my school's origami club for the project we were doing at the time. We folded a whole bunch of 12-pieced Sonobe octahedra to donate to one of our local hospitals!
