HOW TO DRAW ROBESPIERRE’S WIG
You asked this question twice, once in 2024 and again in 2025 (today) so I will provide. @littlemonchi
Louis XVI’s wig is a little tighter on his head. Four curls (two on each side) and his ears are mostly visible
Main different is Max’s love for poofy wigs. It does look flattering on him, to be honest. His wig generally has small curls. Smaller than Louis XVI’s. Think of Robespierre’s wig like a helmet.
More money means bigger wig, yes? Love those luscious locks. Feel free to add curls at the back of Robespierre’s wig. I generally believe Louis XVI had a smoother wig if that makes sense lol
I could go on and on about different wigs but this is going to get long real fast. Hope this helps!
This is genuinely helpful.
some pics i took at the carnavalet..
This is the funniest thing I've seen all day
Hello, fellow scholars of Pszoniacology!
I have managed to translate a little archived video of Wojciech Pszoniak.
Before you watch it just know that it's my first time adding subtitles or translating any video so be aware it's not going to be perfect.
The people there and what the letters mean:
Psz: (Wojciech Pszoniak speaking)
Pr: (Television presenter speaking)
B: (The wife of Pszoniak- Basia speaking)
S: (A friend of Pszoniak- Konrad Swinarski speaking)
DR: (A friend of Pszoniak - Danuta Rinn speaking)
EK: (A friend of Pszoniak - Edward Kłosiński speaking)
JTS: (co-actor - Jan Tadeusz Stanisławski speaking)
Well then. Have that Pszoniak propaganda:
If it sounds like the composer is trying to blast you with the orchestra until you're as deaf as he is, it's Beethoven.
If it sounds like the composer might be a vampire, it's Bach.
If it sounds like the composer is trying to set the violins on fire, it's Vivaldi.
If it sounds like the composer is trying to shoot you, it's Tchaikovsky.
If it sounds like the composer is mansplaining to you, it's Wagner.
If it sounds like the composer is making fun of you, it's Mozart.
If it sounds like the composer is being a father figure to the music itself, it's Haydn
If it sounds like the composer is playing Star Wars 60 years early, it's Holst
If it sounds like the composer is trying to incite a riot, it's Stravinsky
I have a crush on dilf Robespierre in this movie.
A question about what Wojciech Pszoniak’s Robespierre would’ve looked like if he had glasses turned into one of the only art pieces I’ve been proud of in months (thanks Robespierre)
Seriously I don’t think I’ve ever managed to shade skin this well
Was checking on an old Minecraft world and apparently I had a sense of humor five years ago
Been feeling nostalgic and have been playing Dragon Quest VIII again on the 3DS and I noticed something about Marcello: He totally looks like Tom Hiddleston and because of that, I can’t resist making memes about it. So, without further ado:
Angelo as a kid: My Mummy and Daddy died and I have no where to go 🥺 I’m an orphan with nothing to my name now ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ Btw my name is Angelo—
Marcello:
I feel so validated because I was thinking this exact same thing years ago, they DO look alike
On May 7th, 1770, Marie Antoinette was officially handed over to France on an island in the middle of the river Rhine, near the French city of Strausbourg. A special structure was built for the occasion (middle photo) which was divided into three sections—the young girl would begin the ceremony on the Austrian side of the structure, complete the ceremony in the center room, and then be presented to her French retinue in the last half of the building.
As part of the remise, or handover ceremony, Marie Antoinette was stripped of her Austrian clothing, Austrian attendants, and anything that might be construed as symbolizing her former allegiance to Austria; she was redressed in a French ensemble and presented as the dauphine of France.
Happy 266th birthday Robespierre! I did not have time to draw a proper picture because I am trying to complete a seminar paper by the end of today on 4 hours of sleep, but I tried to do a quick one on MS Paint and will probably attempt to do a proper one afterwards
Two hundred and thirty years ago, on a Tuesday, Maximilien Robespierre turned 36.
There wasn’t much to celebrate.
It was an exceptionally bleak year. Famine persisted. France remained embroiled in war. A month earlier, one of his oldest friends had met a grim fate under the guillotine.
Robespierre had withdrawn from public life since April 19th. Rumours circulated about his health. Some speculated illness while others noted that he continued to endorse decrees from the Committee of Public Safety, so clearly, he wasn’t that unwell. Barère, (approach his accounts with with caution) visited him and implied he appeared dreadful, teetering on the brink of a breakdown.
Deep down, did he sense that it would be his final birthday? Maybe.
Did he mark the occasion in any way? Given that he delivered a formidable speech on the 7th of May concerning the intersection of religious and moral ideas with Republican principles, it’s unlikely there was any celebration. He probably wrote and wrote and wrote some more.
That being said, I like to imagine that the Duplays’ coaxed him from his study for a brief respite, gave him something yummy to eat, maybe raised a toast in his honour and reminded him of how cherished and precious he was to them.
Happy 266 birthday, Maximilien!
You are still cherished.
