Looks similar to a compound bow, but the wheels are replaced by two flat disk-shaped modules to which the drawstring is attached. The modules are somewhat separate from the bow and float about an inch away. The bow will only ever be powered off for repairs, but when the bow is powered on the modules will stay in place.
Bows are favored for their silence, power, and adjustability, despite being a somewhat unwieldy weapon. When the bowstring is drawn, a plasma bolt will form in the place of an arrow. These weapons are accurate at over 500 yards and even further with more powerful modules and scopes. After firing, modules require three to five seconds to recharge.
Modules are easily interchangeable- List below.
Regular module: The most common type of modules often sold for self-defense. Bolts fired can burn completely through a foe, leaving a hole the size of a ping-pong ball, at close range.
Combat module: A somewhat more rare type of module that is more powerful than regular plasma, it can fire further and can burn completely through foes at a much greater distance.
Sniper module: A difficult to acquire module that fires exceedingly powerful bolts at a great range, intended to be used with a scope.
Taze module: A module intended to stun or capture foes. Electrical output can be adjusted slightly, but most models sold publicly cannot be adjusted to kill. When a fired bolt strikes an object, it can be adjusted to release an electrical field to taze anything within range.
Shock module: A module not publicly sold, and is essentially a much stronger version of the taze module.
Light module: A module that forms a bolt of searing hot hard light rather than plasma. The hard light bolts shatter on impact, sending shards into foes and leaving an arrowhead that is difficult to remove.
