Flourchantress: The other side of Cacaolily

spoilers for v.6.11/the "One of Darkness Absolute" update and Beast Yeast chapters up to that point(before the millennium Advent one with Leavened One Mystic Flour Cookie costume)

Warning: I have not intentionally watched or played anything past the mentioned chapter/update

I discovered today that there are no mention of Dark Enchantress Cookie and Mystic Flour Cookie Yuri(unless they're hiding from me on Wattpad, quote, or fanfiction.com) and I shall not let that stand. So, as the first to post it, I will trailblaze this path and explain this doomed ship

I had this ship since the One of Darkness Absolute Story, specifically with this line

now, this isn't to say that this line was all it took. However, her whole reaction in this basically bonus chapter to Dark Enchantress Cookie as a whole gave me a new perspective. How would someone defying the fate of their body, and hoping to spread that "freedom" to everybody, be a lesson in futility? In fact, wouldn't it be more a lesson of Resolution, the good part of her original light of willpower? It contradicts her supposed nihilistic philosophy.

If she had said "this will be your NEXT step INTO futility" or something along those lines, it would make sense. Dark Enchantress Cookie would lose, and THAT'S when she discovers the lesson. But no, her willingness to keep going even after she may die is the lesson.

I don't know about you, but DE sounds a little Absurdist here, and somehow got a nihilist to turn around. What force could do such a thing that it turns a nihilist into an Absurdist?

The answer here? A love for life. Whether it be one's own life, the life of another, or both, even if it doesn't make sense or matter in the long run. And from a shipping perspective, One could argue Mystic Flour chose the both option

And that could lead to some good "characterization" if you know what I mean. The angst of them realizing that they are loving a new thing again, going opposed to what they preach. Loving something that is desperately trying to cling to life for other cookies/people, just like the Flour of Volition did before she placed herself in the cacoon. Something that she sees as on the path to enlightenment, but going farther in her fight to get there? Think about the potential here!

That's not even factoring in The Leavened One AU. A tug and pull between a freedom that tries to kill divinity and a freedom that reveals divinity, each vying to show the other that their way is the right way to free cookiekind from suffering! The tug of war ship that can be built from that!

Plus, going back to the normal timeline, it can add a compare and contrast dynamic to the just as good ship, Cacaolily. A relentless freedom achiever (White Lily and Dark Enchantress) gains the attraction of a strong willed individual who hide their love very well (Mystic Flour and Dark Cacao).

While Dark Cacao is too busy to confess his feelings due to his duties and is content to staying on the side while doing all he can to protect her, Mystic Flour has already given up her duties, letting her easily try and reach for this newfound desire. From their perspective, they each had a chance for the same goal, but took different directions if you keep it canon complacent.

Overall: I believe that this ship is great and has amazing potential, and I am disappointed that it took me for everyone else who agrees to figure it out
