#soo....#the og cohort i onboarded with #(no longer know which cohort i belong to anymore cause im going at my own pace in grad studies but anywho)#only 1 person passed the fucking exam you need to take to get your masters #and im calling bs cause theres many many many intelligent peers in that group getting straight As #i got done talking with a few of them a half hour ago and they feel like they got bamboozled #profs the last 2 terms (you gotta study in advance for this test its huge) just assured it'll be easy #just study from these various pre tests online (you wont know which ones you'll get ofc) but its easy #if you did the work you'll pass #*puts on glasses* the lie detector test determined that was a fucking lie #there was nothing on case studies #nothing on diagnosing #and out of fucking left field here comes *drum roll* actual fucking math problems?! like algebra?!#we did statistics and deciphering information in research and studies #BUT WE DIDN'T DO ANY FUCKING GEOMETRY #getthisgethis...several emailed one of the profs asking reasonably what the actual fuck was that #and got a semi persnicketty “we followed whats standard on the test you'll take for your licensure with a few tweaks #we'll talk to each of you about what went down but not our fault y'all failed kthnxbyyyeeeee!“#AND getthisgetthis...one peer whose supervisor is a fucking phd grad in this field (and was going into law school at one point)#took one fucking look at some of the questions and said “YUP. I'D FAIL THIS TOO. WTH?”#the peoples in power need a fucking wake up call or grade everyone on a curve cause this isn't right #gatekeeping cunts on god #okay sorry im just mad cause everyone worked so damn hard AND they are supposed to graduate next month #but they now have to take another fucking term to retake the test #JSJSJJRJEKKEJRJ?!??!?!?¿¿#by the time i get to that test the program better have its shit together #or psych warefare is on #im sorry...its just amazing that some profs we have who are in the business of helping people REALLY don't give a fuck #or cant at least be a little bit compassionate without making everything sound business as usual #magenta is my vent word

So me and my mom went out to eat the other day, and I mentioned that I was working on my comic. (she knew about it for years now, but I never showed her anything because of the internal fear I have when showing off my art to my parents lajfhtjc.) And the first things she said to me things like:

"This would be great as an official comic!"

And all I could think that entire time was:
