Matty already had the Mortal Kombat tattoo when they started dating, BUT he'd be more than happy to get back-to-back appointments with girlie for her first and his second. Let's say this is when he gets the We Are Kings hip tattoo 🤭
When it's his turn, he'd be really smug about his "pain tolerance" because the one on his forearm went so well, not having a grasp on the fact that the one on his hip would hurt significantly more LOL. He's all like "Let me show you how it's done so you're not scared" (also he wants to impress her so bad), only to be gritting his teeth and gripping at the chair while he's getting the tattoo. He's veeery caught off guard by how different it feels, but he's trying not to show it. Girlie is sitting at his side and asks if he wants to hold her hand. At first, he insists that he's fine, but very soon after he finds himself quietly reaching for her, squeezing her hand throughout the process. And it's... definitely a sight for her. Matty hissing a little and cursing under his breath, his pants low on his hips and his stomach heaving/flexing with his shallow breaths. He's a little embarrassed after when she teases him about what a big strong guy he is, purposefully mussing up her hair as revenge
She's definitely nervous when it's her turn next, and Matty knows it. She gets a simple butterfly done on her shoulder, and while she's lying down on her stomach, she's just looking over at Matty the whole time. They're stupid in love and just gazing at each other, him running his thumb gently over her knuckles to keep her grounded. He yaps to her about whatever he can think of to distract her from the pain: what's happening with the band, something stupid he and George did the other night, how much he loves this new record he found, etc. And it works! He keeps her smiling the whole way through.
They both adore each other's new ink, loving the significance that they got them together. Matty loves kissing and touching her butterfly tattoo as much as she loves kissing and touching the rose on his hip. Eventually, they get matching ones <3!!
