It’s my birthday today! My awesome foxy wife sent this to me!
philinda + “Why haven’t you kissed me yet?”
“You’re a sight for sore eyes,” she looks up at the familiar voice, setting her pen down and smiling.
“Happy to be back on the ground?” she asks, and Phil leans against the doorway, nodding.
“Glad to be back with you,” he answers honestly, and her heart skips a beat in the most cliched way possible. She ducks her head, unable to stop the smile that spreads across her lips.
“You’re still pretty far away,” she comments, lifting her head, and Phil raises an eyebrow, hands in his pockets as he pushes off the door jam, heading towards her. “You’re getting warmer.”
His lips curl upwards in the corners, and he settles on the edge of the table, inches from her.
“Warm enough?” he asks, amusement in his tone.
“One more thing,” she replies, and he leans closer at her soft tone. “Why haven’t you kissed me yet?”
Phil laughs, reaching a hand to cup her cheek before he bends and kisses her, soft and sweet and warm. Her hand comes to cover his, stroking his knuckles as she licked at his lower lip, sighing against him.
“That’s better,” she murmurs, thumb brushing his cheekbone. “Welcome home.”
“Nowhere I’d rather be,” he replies, kissing her again.
