A soothing and fragrant vegan latte featuring the delicate flavors of lavender and lemon, perfect for a cozy afternoon or evening indulgence.
Ingredients: 2 cups unsweetened almond milk. 2 tablespoons dried lavender buds. 1 tablespoon maple syrup. 1 teaspoon culinary-grade dried lavender buds for garnish. 1 tablespoon lemon zest. 2 tablespoons lemon juice. 2 black tea bags or loose leaf equivalent.
Instructions: In a small saucepan, heat almond milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling. Add dried lavender buds to the almond milk, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep for an additional 5 minutes. Strain out the lavender buds and return the infused almond milk to the saucepan. Add maple syrup, lemon zest, and lemon juice to the almond milk, stirring until well combined. Meanwhile, brew the black tea in a separate pot or cup using boiling water. Once the tea is brewed, divide it between two mugs. Pour the lavender-infused almond milk mixture over the brewed tea. Garnish with a sprinkle of culinary-grade dried lavender buds. Serve hot and enjoy!
